  1. Phenix Maxim 7'2 MF Spinning Shimano Sahara 2500FE Lamiglas Excel II 703 Casting
  2. True, and it would just give me a reason to buy a new reel. My wallet is already a bit light from the Phenix Maxim spinning rod I just bought but I think I'll grab one of these. Probably the 703.
  3. I don't need another rod right now but man I'm tempted to grab one of those rods for that price.
  4. Pass on the 4oz spoon. That's basically worthless in the waters I fish. Banjo by default.
  5. They are the only lipped cranks I ever use. Catch plenty of fish with them in open water. Reel, pause, reel, rip, repeat. Works great for me.
  6. I won't be buying more. I rarely fish weighted plastics and when I do it's either a really light weight (1/16oz) or I just used weighted hooks. Not worth it for me.
  7. As a teen/young adult (not that I'm old lol) I used one combo and caught plenty of fish. It was a 6:4 baitcaster with a MH/F rod and it could handle a lot of different techniques even though it wasn't optimal for all I did with it. Now that I have a decent job I have a lot more rods/reels but I still loved fishing even when I just had one decent combo. Collecting gear just becomes another part of the hobby.
  8. Senko, Watermelon Red Magic or a similar natural color. Rigged weightless on a 4/0 EWG. White/Chartreuse Spinnerbait, one with double willow blades and one with a Willow/Colorado. Squarebill cranks, one in chartreuse/black, one craw colored. Spook JR, Bone color. I feel confident I could catch fish on just about any body of water with those baits.
  9. Tatula for $103 from "the auction site". You can also find the Lews SS for like $75 on there.
  10. Yep, it's pretty much the e3 of fishing.
  11. Same here. All were marked 119.99 but the guy that worked there used his texlon to scan it for me and it was 89.99.
  12. Improved clinch with everything (braid, mono, floro). Never had any problems.
  13. I use the tackle wharehouse backpack. Holds 3 3700 size boxes, has a place for your phone, sunglasses, a drink, a little built in worm binder, and a tons of pockets and storage space.
  14. My biggest jig bass was caught on one of those. Just over 8lbs. I like them.
  15. Picked up a 6'10 MH/F Crucial for $89. Really didn't need it, oh well though. Hard to walk away from a deal like that.
  16. I have the 7'3 MH/F and I agree. Good rod built on a really good blank for the price.
  17. Suffix 832 and Power Pro Ss8 are the best I've used. I've heard great things about Daiwa Samurai but I haven't tried it yet.
  18. The big bluegill love eating the tails off of my rage tail baits and speed worms/craws.
  19. Jeez I don't need to spend anymore money right now...must resist
  20. I can never resist a good clearance sale. I always end up buying everything they have. I have so much stuff just sitting around because of that.
  21. They had some in the markdown section of my walmart. A red tag with 129.99 on it....lol
  22. The Kistler KLX is a really really nice stick for under $200.
  23. I just got a KLX and it is a fantastic rod. Fishes way above it's price point. I love my *** but it blows it out of the water.
  24. The Tec-Spec rods at Dicks are around that price and are solid. Add $20 more to your budget and you can get a Veritas though.
  25. I have a 7`1 MF *** and use it for everything you listed. It's a great rod. I have a st croix ltb and it's a much nicer rod, still love my *** though.
