  2. Another food that catches fish is Gummy Worms, seriously i have weightless rigged them before and caught bass.
  3. I cant wait till the winter down here in FL,my fav time of the year to fish
  4. ive caught a bass off of a hotdog when i was fishing for bluegill, but that was just a fluke.
  5. Sure they work, but a $3 pack of flukes work just as well.
  6. DOnt be tempted by the dark side, stay far far away!
  7. Its common to catch fish with part of their tails gone after the spawn,it happens from them fanning the bottom to clear out a bed.
  8. Glad to see im not the only Jax Basser on here, where do you fish at?
  9. Jacksonville,Florida
  10. I remember fishing a REALLY clear lake in some state park south of jacksonville,it was probally 15-20 ft. deep and you could see straight to the bottom. It was fun watching them bass inhale those worms
  11. Depends on what kind of grass it is. If the grass is under water i would work a Fluke or something similar over the top of it. If its thick surfass grass i would drop a Jig n Pig or T-Rigged worm in it.
  12. I got about $15 worth lol, basically everything they had left.
  13. I also think the bass are under those branches and vines that hang over the water.I dont think there is anything wrong with the lake because i have seen alot of movement and signs of life in it,and i have also caught some bluegill and Warmouth out of it. I need a boat!
  14. I havnt used flukes much, but when i do use them its usually Pre-Spawn period.Like KU said, just twitch and pause, they will catch fish ;D I caught one of my biggest fish on a fluke in the prespawn fishing around lilly pads in the lake i used to have in my backyard(before it dried up ).It was a 8lb Hog ;D
  15. Well,i caught nothing, not even a tree fish LOL I tried everything,T Rigged worms,Weighless Worms,Senkos,Spinnerbaits,Crankbaits, and even some topwater. But,i do have some pics of the lake http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a306/Cha0sS0ldier/Lake7.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a306/Cha0sS0ldier/Lake8.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a306/Cha0sS0ldier/Lake1.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a306/Cha0sS0ldier/Lake2.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a306/Cha0sS0ldier/Lake3.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a306/Cha0sS0ldier/Lake4.jpg On second look there is cover around the edges, but its impossible to fish from the bank.
  16. Im goin up to the pond right now,im gonna try a Black T-rigged 3x Worm and some other various stuff, wish me luck ;D
  17. The Strike King 3x Worms float, they work very well to! Im glad i bought like a billion packs of them while wal-mart had them on clearance for .10c a pack.
  18. Thx for the tips,i think ill try a Carolina Rig. Marty,Ive already tried some topwater at Dusk with a Floating Rapala minnow and had no sucsess :'(,but next time i go back i think ill throw a small buzzbait or something.
  19. Ok,at the moment i really dont have a way to get around,so im stuck fishing ares that are in walking distance of me.I found a small lake in some woods that has a few spots to fish from the bank,i have fished it a few times and have caught nothin besides a warmouth and a big bluegill off of a 3in Grub. There really isnt any cover or anything to fish so it is hard to key on where i think the fish might be. So if you were gonna fish a small lake in the middle of the summer with no cover where would you think the fish would be,and what would be a good lure to use. Im still not even sure there are bass in it,but if there are warmouth and bluegill there should be bass. PS,this forum rocks!!!!!
