  1. I have an 09 SX. Its been an excellent reel. Initially, I kept the brakes up around 8. Now they're down around 3 or 4. The spool tensioner is more important for me. Just my opinion. The reel took a little getting used to but once you get a feel for it, its incredibly solid.
  2. Ill have to check this out. I'm interested in trying out the Vicious floro.
  3. That, and POS event....
  4. The crazy legs. If I want to tone it down, I pinch the feeler things off.
  5. The Gambler Loco Lizard is a fatty. It has a huge profile. http://www.***.com/Gambler_Loco_Lizard_7_6pk/descpage-GLL.html
  6. I was thinking this as well. I havent had a chance to throw the bait I have with the sure set hooks yet but it does look like it has the potential to bend easy. I might just swap them out to avoid finding out the hard way.
  7. Cant beat the Sluggo
  8. That perch color is excellent. Great work.
  9. Last season is was the Bomber 4A in threadfin shad. This season, Im going to give the XCalibur squarebill a workout.
  10. Great job! We almost have soft water here. I really cant wait much longer.
  11. Wow. That thing is ridiculous.
  12. Parasite weights aren't a bad option
  13. Thanks for sharing!
  14. Good choices. A swim jig may not be a bad addition, especially if that area is getting beat up and the fish are getting spooked by a bunch spinnerbaits clanging around.
  15. Great news! Congratulations! I hope you're ready to spend the better parts of your days tying jigs.
  16. Fishing on the Edge. Its a great read and very informative.
  17. Congrats on being a marshall. It should be a fantastic experience. Just guessing, but I assume they let the marshalls work with the BassTrakk system the first two days to iron out any kinks and get them familiar with the system. Ideally, this reduces the chance of errors when its in use on Saturday and Sunday. Have fun on the water and be sure to check back in and let us know how everything goes.
  18. Great photos!
  19. Awesome! Good luck.
  20. They use it when the field gets trimmed to 50. The Classic uses it all three days. Regular Elite Series events use it after cut day. You'll see BassTrakk updates on Saturday and Sunday.
  21. Take whatever is comfortable to you. I fit everything that I need into a Spiderwire Wolf Spider tackle bag. I have one crankbait box, two jig boxes, two plastics boxes, and one spinnerbait box. It has plenty of room for pliers, a scale, my hook box, spare spools, etc. and its relatively compact. I dont like to cram everything together. It just makes it a pain to put it all back. As much as I'd like to have more stuff, I already own more than I can throw.
  22. Pay more attention to whats happening on the water. By that I mean adjusting to weather, wind, temperature, etc and not being stubborn throwing to the same thing with the same bait if its not getting the job done.
  23. It looks like Brent Chapman fishes with them. He didn't seem to have an issue during the Classic.
  24. Beauty! Your photos are always gorgeous.
  25. Not bad choices. A football jig rigged with a rage baby craw would be a decent option as well.
