  1. I still say it's a bass that was caught on a Firetiger plug to often. ;D
  2. Can bumblebees sting? http://www.bumblebee.org/bodySting.htm
  3. Do the drugs also induce double posting? Yes, and the suicidal thoughts as well.
  4. At the risk of sounding stupid... Wouldn't shooting/whatcking Bumblebees make more mad getting you stung?
  5. You know, If everyone keeps ribbing me; I may just shoot myself with a 30-06 mouse rifle. ;D. For clarification Coca-Cola.
  6. This is mainly for backpackers, but I think they have a few family tents mixed in as well. http://www.backpackgeartest.org/reviews/Shelters/Tents/
  7. I have to rant one minute real quick. I've been having to take Biaxin (antibiotic) for a nasty sinus infection. The good news is I am getting better. The bad is one of the side effects. A very VERY VEEERRRRYYYY horrible taste that lingers in you mouth for about 7-8 hours after you take the tablet. It's like a cross between rotten potatoes and copper. Water doesn't help, crackers are no good, and insane amount of coke is useless. -Sigh- Only 11 more days of this... :'(
  8. I bet EJtaylor can hook you up. Great communication, and beautiful work judging from his galleries. I will be getting my first rod from him within a week or so.
  9. When I'm fishing from the band I always carry the smaller version of this http://sogknives.com/store/M37.html Its sheath has an outside pocket I keep my multi tool in, so I have both in easy reach.
  10. After reading this thread, I am glad it will be a long lonnnnnnggggggg time before I have kids.
  11. I believe the rod is really more important. Not to say you can put a $20 reel on a $300 rod and it work well. I usually like to spend twice on the rod as I do on a reel. a Steez reel will not do any good if you cannot feel the bite to begin with. A Citica/Sahara on a say a good $150ish rod will have the best of both worlds.
  12. Oh the typos... oh the typos... I may have to turn my mouse rifle on myself. ;D
  13. I dabble in a little wilderness survival. Regarding animal attacks. Most smaller animals like wolves and cougars can be scared off by pistol reports. Bears and moose are a little different. Anything short of a high powered rifle (read 30-06) is just going to make any of these animals mad, and more likely to attack. Making a large amount of noise, bear spray, and avoidance are the best methods. Most of these animals are just frightened or curious. Give them plenty of room to get away, make some loud noise, and you should be good to go.
  14. If you are talking about the tip top; it is an easy fix. You can pick up a repair kit at most sporting good stores with the glue and three or four common tip top sizes. Also, most sporting good stores replace em' for a few bucks. If it is a guide, not quite so easy. It will have to be stripped off, and a new guide installed. That is definitely a professionals job.
  15. If I were stuck on getting a St. Croix rod, I would go with the Premier. It has the same blank as the Mojo, but it is cheaper. The mojo is pretty infamous for its balance (or lack thereof). Definitely tip heavy with most reels.
  16. I would use either Powerpro or Suffix braid. Both good contenders in the sub 20$ range. Do not use the clinch w/ braid. http://www.animatedknots.com/palomar/index.php. This knot is easy to tie, and won't slip with braid. 8-)
  17. You definitely need to change your thinking. Spend more on the rod and less on the reel. If a spinning reel is decently smooth, and has a good drag that is all you need. I'd spend $100 on the rod and pick up a Shimano Sedona, or a Pflueger Trion which is a wonderful reel for $40. Compre Spin Rod 7' Medium http://www.***.com/Shimano_Compre_Spinning_Rods_IM8_Graphite/descpage-SCSR.html Sensitive rod, good price, great warranty. http://www.***.com/Pflueger_Trion_GX-7_Spinning_Reel_/descpage-PTSR.html Get the 4730/35. There you go-- $140 bucks with free shipping.
  18. I am staying in Tulsa this weekend because I have a show to play with my band. We got here Friday, and this morning we went and hit the neighborhood yardsales. At the final one we went to; I noticed an OLD looking tacklebox. I glanced over the stuff in it, and bought it for $10. I got home and got out my Grandpa's lure collecting books. I got three of the old (1960's) Rapala's made in Finland, a South Bend Super Duper spoon (circa 1950's), and a neat automatic fly reel made around 1947. I also got quite a few newer rogues and even a Storm Wigglewart. Got a bunch of panfish hooks, a old book of mustad hooks, and some old floats. The mustad hooks are blued like a gun-- that was certainly something different. I was going to sell some of the stuff, but I decided to start an older lure collection. I do not have my camera with me, but I will post some pictures when I get home.
  19. Two of the instances sure to make my blood boil. Life is to Short..no sense in adding to it.. You just added to my rage. Too, not to ^^^ You missed a period at the end of your sentence! >
  20. I do believe Rookiesmallmouther put it best: we ned 2 git reed uv the grammor plice, and tak bak or form1!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ^^ The views in the quoted portion of text do not necessarily reflect mine. I consider neither Burley nor Longmike grammar police/nazis ;D
  21. That would be entirely awesome; if fighting begins please videotape it.
  22. I hate to tell you this, but Daiwa makes the Exceler-- not quantum.
  23. I am not 100% certain it is water proof. Also, if you ever need to remove that tip top again... impossible. I would just stick with the standard glue.
  24. They were Rubbin', so use a RUBber worm... ;D
  25. I have stood it as long as I can. Being relatively new to he forum; what sparked the heated (although fake) animosity between Bobby and Dozer??? Good luck with the smallies.
