Hello everyone, doing a little research for the old man here. My father recently retired and made the move from RI to St. Augustine and being unfamiliar with the surrounding areas, we were hoping you guys would be willing to point us towards some productive waters. For the time being I imagine he will be fishing solo, and since he left his jon boat with me he will be limited to shoreline access. Any help at all is certainly appreciated, thank you all for your time!

Appreciate the replies guys, i know its been a little while but i got tied up with real life and hadn't been checking in on the reg. Took a trip out to Worden's pond on Friday the 4th but it was so windy we headed back in after an hour or so no luck. 2 big guys in a Crawdad and decent sized waves are not ideal.

Disappointed, do we not have any active posters willing to share reports and info fishing in Rhode Island..?

Recently moved back to the area, and though its been a while since i have actively posted on this forum i have searched this forum and found little to no information regarding Rhode Island ponds and lakes. Hoping there are some other local guys here and perhaps we can keep a thread going...

just recently moved to florida, and once again am relegated to the shore. struggling immensely thus far, but im sticking with it, got to heed some of the advice here and slow down and really soak some of the areas ive been hopping around at.

thanks for the replies guys. i appreciate it. its probably just me but i have been having trouble getting windows 8 to play well with google earth, ill look into that further. im going to continue to ask around at work and everywhere else. if anyone else has any info for me id greatly appreciate it. money is tight currently after a relocation, amongst other things, but eventually i would like to get at the very least some sort of job boat.

Hey folks, searched through some topics here and wasn't able to find exactly what i was looking for, so i thought i would create a thread. Just recently moved to southwest orlando and would like to get back into bass fishing. It has been a long time since i have been able to work pain free, let alone fish, but thanks to a fantastic hand surgeon in RI, im finally able to do the things i enjoy doing again. I dont currently have a fishing buddy, or a boat so im hoping some guys that are local can direct me to some bodies of water that are easily accessible from shore. I have limited knowledge of the area which i am working on, also been trying to locate bodies of water in close proximity to me, but there are so many of them that it is overwhelming. i am sure this has been addressed before, but i appreciate anyone and everyone who takes their time to reply to this and help me get started here in florida, thanks alot guys and girls!

It was awesome to see the bass hitting my frog and actually taking into their mouths. I felt the fish a couple times and I guess I got too excited and set too fast. Anyways I believe my setup was not the reason. I have a 6'6" MH/XF Vendetta w/ Daiwa Exceler high speed and 10lb. Yo-Zuri Hybrid. The frog was the BPS Kermy Frog. I want to try either the spro or tru tungsten frogs. imo the tru tungsten frog does not have the same action as a spro frog, and the body is much harder which doesn't allow as much compression of the frogs body during the hook set.

for me it was a 7 foot rod mh with a fast tip that improved my catch ratio significantly. coupled with the spro bronze eye... usually i have better success with the jr half ounce model

ive been doing well on spro frogs also so far this season, (for me anyway) though i have nolt been on the water in almost 2 weeks. i always try to pull em up top when i get out there. i'm so addicted to froggin that i usually stick with it for to long.
