  1. Hmmmmm....I wonder how a sluggo would do on a scrounger. Must do some testing this spring!
  2. LoL! What kinda reel and terminal tackle do you use? Ardent and Eagle Claw?

  5. Gotta agree. I cant count how man times Ive set on a branch thinking it was a fish because of its ticks and tugs. It even fights when reeling in. Just set it when you are in doubt. I just started jig fishing as well and it really is about line watching most of the time. I recently switched my setup to run Hi-Vis Yellow braid with a FC leader to aide in line watching.
  6. I have that frog and it cast beautifully and walks very easily. I have yet to catch a fish on it though because I got it at the end of the season and still had my Bassirisky tied on. I have no complaints about that frog and I own just about all the hollow bodies besides the Mad Maxx which were horrible on their first run.
  7. Awesome! I too use the Ribbits and have tried the various "double" frog hooks and they simply do not work. I hope these are easy to rig and use.
  8. Stanley Wedge series, War Eagle, and Booyah.
  9. Awesome action for sure!
  10. What is the deal with Bobby's Perfect frog? Ive read so much about it and went to buy one to try out but that thing does not cast far at all. As a matter of fact, it doesnt cast anywhere. I can cast plastic frogs way farther than that thing. I personally use the Spro's and love them. Im also starting to like the Deps Bassirisky's after they went hardbelly. I also have the Kanji frog that is pretty good. The Sumo frog is pretty much a Bobby's frog.
  11. Yeap. That global warming is really taking a toll on us.
  12. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I ended up going to Clifton Court and managed 2 smallish stripers and 1 largemouth. Nothing of great size but better than nothing.
  13. Mark, I might just have to make a stop there at Lake Chabot. Thanks! More recommendations are welcome. Vince
  14. Badog, Thanks for the reply. I did look into the Delta but didnt feel that the price was worth it for the average bass. Doing it for the stripers might be a different story though as we dont have any here in Ohio. Yhanks again. Vince
