  1. I've used Gulp 1" minnows in the past with good results. The ones I bought this year are so soft and mushy they will fall apart putting them on the hook. Appears to be a different formula or possibly a very old batch.
  2. It looks like the lower rear bracket is in the wrong hole in the base. That would cause it to swing in a different arch than other one.
  3. That looks like some serious abuse. I have a Lowe 175 stinger (built by Brunswick) and the build quality is very good and has a lifetime warranty on the hull. It's fast and rides very good.
  4. I sold my Skeeter TZX200 last year and gave up fishing because of a bad back and difficulty launching it by myself. I decided to get back into it but I needed something easier to handle. I bought a Lowe 175 Stinger. Very light all aluminum, no wood. I can move it around my garage effortless. It rides great, over 40mph with a 75 hp 4 stroke.
  5. Not buying the line color deal. Look at all of the garbage on the Alabama rig. If fish can be caught on that contraption, I'm not the least bit concerned about line color.
  6. I catch about 4 fish (sometimes less) and it's junk. I relocate the hook, swap ends then wacky rig it. I hate them but they work so good I keep buying more.
  7. I was out yesterday with a friend. I only used a Senko with a bullet weight. He tried everything in the boat on 3 different poles with different line on each one. I put 7 in the boat and had one get off. (all were released) He caught none all the while telling me how I'm doing it wrong.
  8. Mine is also a turbo. Power isn't the problem. It's controlling it when pulling a boat and you are forced to make an evasive maneuver that will get you in trouble. Good luck.
  9. I went through the same problem with Javelin I bought a few yrs ago. If I eased into it until I got on plane it would go about 40 mph. If I hit the throttle from a start it would go nose high and wouldn't recover. I changed the prop for one with the correct size hub and it would go on plane instantly and topped out at 55. The exhaust blowing on the outside of the prop hub and onto the blades caused a major cavitation.
  10. The prop hub is too small. Get one the same size as the lower unit housing and you'll cure your problem. The exhaust has to go through the prop, not around the outside.
  11. Can you post a picture of the prop and lower unit?
  12. Not on mine. It would go nose high, nearly 45 degree angle, and would not get any speed. About 10 mph at best and the nose would not come down at any trim. I installed the correct prop and all was well.
  13. I bought a Javelin a few years ago with the same problem. Turns out it had the wrong prop from a smaller lower unit. The opening for the exhaust was too small and was blowing exhaust on the outside of the hub causing an instant cavitation.
  14. I didn't know what that meant. Had to google it. lol
  15. Sorry but it's a fish. Not sure how a bass got itself promoted to sainthood.
