  1. Did some Limited Edition Triple Trouts.. they look natural and totally fishable.. I'll be fishing this one for sure! Working on some Nezumma Rats next
  2. thanks guys.. i try to be a little unique from the rest of the painters. i appreciate any and all feedback.
  3. Did a special order for 22nd Century.. Scott wanted these w/o clear because he was going to add flake to the clear. The images don't pop as good as they would with a clear coat on, but maybe these will turn up somewhere totally finished. The striper might be a tad dark overall, but the other 2 are badass. 10" TT 5" Bluegill 6" TT All critiques welcomed as I haven't painted too many swimbaits.
  4. any idea how much it is?
  5. Painted these for myself and Bass-a-thon.. lookin fwd to using them in the next few months. My personal fav vs Natural Bluegill w/ ghost purple pearl
  6. the white balance is off on the photog... but the baits are off the hook! esp those Jr. D's
  7. it wasnt me... :-? marc is right, i dont dip.
  8. thanks guys.. ive been on this site for a year and a half or so.. just read more than post.
  9. been painting lures for about 6 months.. here's some of my favorites over that time. its been really fun trying out different colors. have gotten some excellent feedback from a few tournament anglers. i was just happy that i caught some fish on them http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/133/img5511y.jpg http://img375.imageshack.us/img375/2732/img5545z.jpg http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/6285/img5552i.jpg http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/49/img4576n.jpg http://img547.imageshack.us/img547/1487/img4490a.jpg http://img811.imageshack.us/img811/1654/img5636i.jpg the img tags werent working, sorry
  10. Save a few more bucks and just get the new Stradic CI4 for $199.. after trying out reels over time.. ive learned that u do get what u pay for.. and going the cheaper route isnt always the ticket. The Stradic is really light.. has amazing castability and comes in a 1000/2500 as of now. so u can choose which one u want based on what application u are using it for. Also it has a higher gear ratio 6.0:1 vs most cheaper models so u can reel in slack or down on bites faster. besides, Tackle Warehouse will probably have a 15% off sale soon again. or just ask for gift cards for your bday/xmas/anniv whatever. hope this helps.
  11. i 2nd the opinion of the Bucoo, but if your funds are limited.. i dont think youll be too disappointed.. u just really cant throw the heavier jigs on that rod.
  12. i have a friend who runs the fishing dept at Bass Pro and he recommends to his customers Power Pro. Ill have to ask him about that P-Line stuff. Based on some reviews ive seen PP is tops in the braid class.
  13. for what its worth.. i just cant throw worms on my jig rod. i dont throw super heavy jigs (3/8s mostly, 1/2oz+ in the winter as needed) so my comfort is a texas rigged worm on a spinning rod. it could also be here in california there is so much pressure that 3"-5" worms get bit
  14. i agree with Bronzefly. its hard to find an all around rod for every technique but u cant go wrong with a G Loomis rod.. and the GLX is worth the extra bucks.
  15. if you fish jigs, skirted jigs, or heavier texas rigs, i would pair up that 7:1:1 with the MH BPS rod.. my preference is the faster gears for slow presentation to reel slack and down on bites faster. the most important thing is to try each set up differently and see what feels the best for you. that is how you will gain confidence in what youre holding in your hand. as time and money allow, look in to getting some rods with Xfast action for more sensitivity and moderate fast action for crankbaits.
  16. Shimano Cumara 7'2"M w/ Fuego-A 1000 #2 Seaguar 130 kureha line. soon to be G-Loomis SHR822GLX rod 8-)
