  1. lol no kidding... me too, wish I could have bagged 1 4#er at LSC My best tournament bag was 18-1 with 3 being 4+
  2. Well I can house 5 on beds, couches and futons. Anymore than that will have to bring their own air mattress.
  3. In my house Brewers fans get the spotted cow and Leinenkugel's, cubs fans drink Milwaukee's Best and Sox fans drink O'Doul's. ;D ;D
  4. CWB Loves it, and there are none to close to him in IL ;D As far as time.. maybe mid June? Gives us all time to recover from Pickwick and not to closer to the 4th of July.. Thoughts?
  5. From the misses... um that was about 1.5 hour drive for me. So another roughly 45 min beyond that. Everyone could even come up the day prior and we could grill out and leave from here in the morning if Buffalo is where we want to go. Weekends are busier on some lakes on the chain then others, obviously depending on the weekend, not nearly as many pleasure boaters on Buffalo as the Madison chain during the weekends. Weekdays we would be good anywhere.
  6. As opposed to cranking down the brakes I loosen mine significantly.
  7. Weightless t-rigged or wacky I will use spinning gear with 8# Yo-Zuri, M/F rod. Weighted I use BC gear with a MH/F.
  8. I can not vouch for everyone but I am definitely a FCLB! lol There are about 6 Culvers on the way to Buffalo also, and one about 3 blocks from my house... I'm sure that doesn't influence your decision at all though CWB ;D
  9. Yeah Leo, you CWB and all the rest of you FIBs are welcome to come along too Buffalo is about an hour north of me. Like I said if we do Madison Chain I can put people up in my house as I'm about 5-15 min to any body of water on the chain.
  10. Figured I'd toss in a poll to see where everyone would like to fish. Please only vote if you are interested in attending
  11. You've got it all wrong, we just use the cheddar to chum our spots ;D And don't forget the Cheddar version of the bacon explosion (same recipe just add 2# of cheddar) The only thing it doesn't have is brat in it... ;D http://www.bbqaddicts.com/blog/recipes/bacon-explosion/
  12. Alrighty, tentative dates for this bad boy is June 5-6 (first weekend in June) on the Madison chain. Launch: We will stage at 5am and launch at 5:30 (If this is to early for those traveling please let me know and we can move it back an hour?) We will launch out of Olbrich Park (best launch closest to the east side/I-90 of Madison instead of having everyone drive downtown. It is also very close to the Tenne locks if we do lock into Mendota). Address: Olbrich Park 3527 Atwood Ave Madison WI Directions: From I-90 S or I-90 N To US-12 W/US-18 W/W BELTLINE HWY To US-51 N/STOUGHTON RD via EXIT 266. Take the CR-BB ramp toward COTTAGE GROVE RD. Turn RIGHT onto CR-BB W/COTTAGE GROVE RD Right onto ATWOOD AVE/MONONA DR. End:3527 ATWOOD AVE is on the LEFT. (Total of about 6 miles once you hit the Beltline) Lunch: We can either bring lunches, or lock into Mendota and eat at the Union Bay. Misc Info Lock Fee: $5 /day Olbrich Launch Fee: $8/day Expect water temps in the mid 60's We will start on Monona, if things are slow we can always take the Yahara river into Tenne park and lock into Mendota, or go south into Waubesa/Lower Mud Lake. I wouldn't recommend going any further south than lower mud as there are still a lot of boulders in the river going into Kegonsa and no channel markers... Unless you have those boulders marked on a GPS it could end up being a bad day. All this said I doubt we would need to go anywhere but Monona/Mendota unless someone has a real want to go into one of the southern bodies. Let me know how this will work for everyone If you plan on attending please PM me some info and I will start a list here. Please provide me with info if you will be bringing a boat or would like to attend as a non boater. (I will figure out non boater fees depending on who matches up with who and how far everyone is commuting.) Boaters: Co-Anglers:
  13. La Crosse anyone? Not sure how far west/north you are? What city are you near?
  14. I'm in Madison, I fish the Madison chain quite a bit along with Geneva and Delavan and a few other chains north of me I also fish the Milwaukee area quite a bit. Your not far from CWB either, though he's a FIB ;D
  15. hydro and solar maybe a wind farm here and there Not entirely sure how looking beyond coal is being short sighted though?
  16. Perhaps the exception for FLW or the likes, however local club tournaments no. At least not here.
  17. +1
  18. garbage.
  19. .... holy moly. Lets hope we can close this out. GO PACK
  20. The Hurt Locker is a very real and very emotional movie. Yes, it takes place in Iraq. The film really captures what a lot of us felt / went through during our tours. Some may find it slow and not really understand some parts of it, but IMO this is the best depiction of the everyday life of a Marine/Soldier in Iraq that I have seen on film. (of course with a little Hollywood added in, there's one thing that happens that just WOULD NOT happen)
  21. One good thing about living in Wisconsin in the winter I suppose... never have to buy ice when your having a party, just toss the beer cans in the snow bank outside the front door. I know what you mean, 15-20 feels warm and that is sickening. A few days in the sub 0's and I'm not a happy camper. Was about 100+ ice shanties out last weekend during around -5 - -10' weather. Not this guy...
  22. I have that 7'1 kistler flip'n pitch and love it.
  23. Not sure how we ended up 5th after getting destroyed at LSC :-/
  24. gotta do something while you're stuck indoors for the next 6 months...... :P b (sorry, had to unwind....) Only 13 inches of snow projected for tonight! >
  25. You guys are great, I like football but not enough to get wound up about it. You two ( and most football fans from Texas I've talked to) are exactly like my friend Rob. He was my room mate in the Marines for 5 years, huge cowboys fan (grew up in cedar hill). He used to get so ticked off when I'd watch a game with him and laugh when the ball hit TO in the numbers and fell or when I'd post cowboy failure pictures on his myspace. He was the most emotional football fan I've ever met. In all honesty I dont care about titles or history, I just love getting you Texans wound up
