Maybe it is just the lakes I fish or something then but the white bass that are commonly caught do not taste good... at all. The only way I can eat them is pickled. Maybe I am spoiled as the only fish I regularly eat are walleye and yellow perch.

I don't understand how anyone could compare the loss of a human life to a bunch of dogs fighting. He paid his debt to society, now he's going back to work. His job just happens to be very public and high paying. I think with Tony Dungy being his mentor, Vick will be a good example to young people that you can change your thuggish ways and lead a good, more productive life (while still tearing it up on the football field). Apparently we do not view dogs in the same way. It is my opinion that a person who intentionally murders a dog (ie throws poison in someones back yard to kill the dog) should be prosecuted the same way someone who killed a human is. I have a few dogs, my wife shows them and does agility testing etc, I do hunt trials with them. They are like children to us, not just some pet. The things Vick did were cruel and uncalled for. I think he should have been in a federal prison for many years, he does not deserve the opportunity he is being given.

I think this is absurd. I am disgusted how much leeway people with the money are given. Just like the football player who hit a 50 some odd year old with his car while drunk... served 24 days? in jail and was fined... any normal person would be serving a prison term. Vick spent time on house arrest now he's being given a "second" chance... I don't agree with it, what he did was inhuman, he should be doing blue collar labor for the rest of his life. He should lose the luxuries he was privileged enough to enjoy.

Depends, you putting it on a flipping / pitching rod? If so I'd say find a HS somewhere else.

I like to pause a few seconds on each pad and then use a quicker retrieve between them, like the frog is trying to get to the safety of the next pad.

Curious if anyone has used this rain gear? It seems it has the same construction as most Gore Tex brands, the gortex suit I have from the military is made of the exact same things except the gortex has "Gortex membrane" and the TecH2O has "TecH2O membrane". You sure you don't mean yellow perch? White perch are an invasive species, taste like garbage (much like white bass) and commonly become garden fertilizer. The lakes where I fish are over populated with white bass, I have used a custom painted white bass swim bait with good success, so I would assume white perch would be eaten as well.

To say that, you have to be a virgin. As much as I like fishing, even after 44 years of marriage, fishing is a distant second. Best thing about taking the wife night fishing ;D

Facts are: Premier is lighter. Both have carbon matrix drag systems Both have Linear Mag Brake system This being said, on paper they are pretty much the same reel, except the Premier is lighter and has added price, comes in only 6.4:1. I have fished both and it just comes down to the reel being lighter, they are identical otherwise.

I have a Kistler Argon and a Falcon Cara. Both are excellent rods, the Argon is above and beyond all other rods my hands down favorite so far. But both the falcon and the argon have great sensitivity, great backbone.

That is who it was, and he has a great rating on ebay that is why I originally thought it would be fine. The reel works great, no mechanical issues that I have been able to tell. Maybe he just didn't have the time for me. He may sell tons of reels but I still feel he should have listed the reel accurately as a refurbished reel or atleast the correct ratio. I don't know for sure yet what I will be doing, but I will most likely be returning the reel to him as I did get my money back. But I can garuntee it will be at my pace and wont be going out of my way to do so.. Still frustrated over this whole ordeal... Even though it has all been worked out in my favor this still left a bad taste in my mouth as one of my first ebay experiences.

It was listed as used, 6.4:1 ratio. When it arrived it looked good, except that the gear ratio on the star drag looked like it had been scratched as to make it unreadable, however the 2nd number in the ratio was clearly a 1, making it a 7.1:1. When I contacted the seller about this (the first time I contacted him through email) I was informed that it was the the handle and peices from a 7.1:1 but the reel was a 6.4:1. Upon further prodding from me he revealed it was actually a refurbished reel - or so he said this time... I could never get a clear answer out of him as to what the true ratio really is if its a 6.4:1 with a 7.1:1 retreive on it or if its just a 7.1:1. When I tested how many inches it retreived it adds up to being a 7.1:1, so I am fairly certain he was trying to be deceptive by scratching off the gear ratio... trying to make it seem like it may have been a 6.4:1 Either way it was either a) deception or b)a refurbished reel which definately is not what was in the description. All of this confusion and lack of a straight answer is what made be go through paypal with the claim as I was uncomfortable dealing with him. Option #1 would be my choice. My lack of knowledge of anything beyond basic reel cleaning and maitinance would prevent me from being comfortable opening it.
