  1. That looks like fun! Sounds like a great trip!
  2. I have had a ton of success fishing a 4" senko on a flick shake head this year in the Allegheny River, typically close to the dams where there is a lot of current. I think it gets the bait in the strike zone and keeps it there instead of “washing to the top”.
  3. Recently spent the day on Lake Erie catching smallmouth on tubes, we had a great day but ran into a problem with fluorocarbon getting chewed up by zebra mussels. We switched to braid after breaking off some fish but our catches defiantly slowed down. Does anyone have any ideas on how to deal with dragging a bait in zebra mussel infested areas?
  4. Congratulations!
  5. Exactly what I was thinking! Should be a great light weight flipping rod.
  6. They will let you walk in with your old reels without doing the trade if you are undecided we did it
  7. Thanks for the help guys! I went in with the intention of either a Corado or Revo SX and ended up with the Chronarch. Can't wait to spool it up tonight.
  8. Looks good. I bought a Chronarch on Saturday. I went in with the intention of either a Corado or Revo SX and ended up with the Chronarch.
  9. Which one and why? I'm headed to Bass Pro in the morning and want to trade in a reel that I don't use anymore. Both brands are also offering a $30 rebate on these models. I have a Curado that I'm really happy with, its last years model, I was leading toward another however I noticed the Revo has more bearings. Reel will be use for jigs and plastics. What do you think? Thanks for any help!
  10. Great drop shot bait! Its my go to bait when drop shotting.
  11. There was a great video on here by one of the Elite Series angler (I can’t remember his name? He was from Texas) showing you how to make your own but I can’t find it anymore? Anyone have a link?
  12. I live between Freeport and Kittanning. I fish all over the western side of the state but the Allegheny River and Crooked Creek are my "home water".
  13. Does anyone have a link to instructions for this knot?
  14. Its not much, I got the boat and trailer given to me. Its a 1977 Sears jon boat with a 1973 Johnson Seahorse. Here are before and after photos.
  15. Can someone tell me how to “clear” previous trails on my Lowrance HDS5? I can’t figure it out for the life of me!
  16. Does anyone else have a problem with these "barrel rolling"? I'm thinking a barrel swivel and leader might solve this? I have had a bunch of luck throwing these for smallmouth lately but on a steady retrieve they want to roll.
  17. J, I think I’ve read that you fish out of a aluminum boat? Were you on the main lake in a tin? Or do you have two boats? If you were in a tin can you give me the specs on your boat? Great write up!
  18. Who did you fish with? I'm looking to book a trip next winter.
  19. Try using a pair of wire cutters or a file to remove the "rubber keeper".
  20. Thanks for the informative reply.
  21. I would like to hear more about this. Are you throwing 1 oz in shallow water? If this is the case why do you want the bait to fall so fast? What type of conditions are you using this technique? Green fish or brown fish?
  22. Dwight, Main lake or bay?

    Fluke

Max is right on the spot with that trick. Not many bass have seen a sideways moving jerkbait. I use a #1 Owner mosquito hook rigged through the side and out the middle of the back. Where do you start and finish the hook?
  24. What weight and bill size for baby fluke?
