    Thanks for all the compliments! I have always wanted a "big" steelhead for my man cave at home... I had a "weak" moment when I had this big girl in hand and let her go, I hope someone else gets to enjoy her another day. It was a memory I won't forget.

    I haven’t fished for steelhead in at least four or five years... I forgot how much fun it was, it was fun to get out and sling my eight weight fly rod around for the day.

    Has anyone ever tried to tie a skirt onto a shakey head with a coil type bait keeper? I’m thinking about buying this Do It mold but I’m on the “fence” as to whether my idea is going to work.

    Has anyone experimented with a Strike King 3xd and the KVD short shank triple grip hooks? Can anyone tell me what size hook to replace the stock hook? Has anyone tried this? Likes? Dislikes?

    I just bought some 1oz and 3/4oz but I haven’t had a chance to use them yet. I'm also curious if anyone has some feedback. A-Jay posted a few weeks ago about his "home brew" punching set up it was similar to the War Heads.

    I use a fluorocarbon leader, barrel swivel, and 10 pound Power Pro all the time. You are absolutely correct the sensitivity of light braid is unreal and line twist is a non-issue. I don’t drop shot any other way.
