  1. Thanks guys!
  2. any ideas how to get skirt bands onto the Boss punch hub? I have the Boss tool (tube) to build your own skirts but I can't get the band to slip onto the hub.
  3. Are you making your own or buying them?
  4. Latest issue of bass master had an article by Gary Klein on split shotting. He mentions split shotting instead of drop shotting in this condition (rip rap / rocks).
  5. Google "power fishing a swim jig by Randy Howell (elite series pro)", it is worth watching.
  6. The most vicious strike I think I have ever had happened in 20’ of water on a buzz bait.
  7. I’m considering taking a road trip to Lake St. Clair mid may can anyone recommend a “clean” hotel? Boat friendly Close to lake / launch "Cheap" (I realize that cheap and clean might not go together)
  8. Grubs... the original swimbait?
  9. I have not used them but *** gave them a great review.
  10. Was the Scrounger something you guys took with you or a "local go to"? Scroungers don't get the "press" that they deserve!
  11. Finesse tubes are a staple in the 3 rivers / Pittsburgh (I spend a ton of time on the river every year) for smallmouth, therefor I have a ton of confidence in throwing tubes in any environment.
  12. Who makes a Scrounger with a strong enough hook to handle ten pounders?
  13. I hope to get my hands on a couple of these soon! Emerald shiner should be the "ticket" for prespawn smallmouth on Erie this spring
  14. Brent Ehler won a FLW major last year by drop shotting to the "followers" once they were near the boat. He would "call" the fish to the boat with the umbrella rig, watch them on the graph, and then pick them off with the drop shot.
  15. Lately it has been crankbaits and jerkbaits. In the winter I stop at one of the tackleshops (there are three ) on my way home from work on Fridays, I try to only buy a couple at a time.
  16. I was there in January and fished for one day out of Rowland Martin’s Marina. We had difficult conditions to say the least (20 to 25 mph winds). The best suggestion I have is if you are only fishing for one day is to use live shiners, it is going to be your best bet to make the most of a one day trip. It will be an additional cost but those fish are so "keyed" in on shiners it is unreal.
  17. I totally agree with everything you mentioned, however I'm a "fan of the professional fishing", watching the pros gear is just one more thing to think about.
  18. 4. What red rod and red reel was Brandon P, using? Just read that Brandon was using a Abu Garcia Verocity Rod, it must be a new product.
  19. "Sharpen" my mental game! When the bite gets slow don't just chuck and wined, fish the moment, adjust to the conditions.
  20. I wondered how many other people noticed the “eye” shape of Pace’s jerk bait… Looked like a Rogue to me?
  21. Do you break off alot of jigs? That is alot of weight for 8-10 pound line. Throwing spinning gear instead of casting due to cold temps?
  22. I might have missed it, What was the weight of your jig? What line size were you using?
  23. I bought a handful of these last night at Dicks. They look ideal for fishing the Three Rivers for smallmouth. They are a bit smaller than a 3xd.
  24. Dwight, What part of Florida are you wintering in? Its unbelievably cold here this week, the high for Erie is only 20! I’m headed to West Palm on Saturday for a week, I’m looking forward to “thawing out”!
  25. The only tubes I throw! Great baits!
