  1. Could happen different things, I would like to know what size of senko and what size of hook ? in 5" Senko the best hook in my personal opinion is 4/0 Gmakatsu EWG, or Mustad 37177 in 6" Senko you must go in the same hooks to 5/0, in 4" Senko I go 2/0 even 3/0 in 3" senko 1/0, in 7" Senko I go with Owner over size 7/0 worm hook, all this thinking that you have an undersized hook. if the senko is skin hooked, helps, except on 7" Another thing mentioned above is that you are setting too fast, just wait another extra second, and the other possible thing is the mood of the bass that are short striking or not having enough time the lure into the mouth, then can help an attractor. I hope this help Good fishing David
  2. You can use Lizards all the year long are really effective! David
  3. Some body had purchased and used those rods? and can say something about the experience! Thanks David
  4. Thanks to everybody, nice information David
  5. I use a lot the zoom lizards, mostly 6" in any wms, shapes my favorite is watermelon red chartreuse, if I fish in new place is my to go bait, in Texas rig, from 1/8, to 1/2 lead bullet weight. Depending on wind, deep and cover. I don't know why, most people uses only in the spawn season , those things are really effective all year round, the spawn season the only difference is that, you can use any color, particularly the red and pink, colors, like pumpkin fire, cherry seed, chameleon, tomatoe seed, etc. This lure is very effective on Carolina Rig, it seems me that the lizards are made for this rig, which size ? All of them are effective I don't like 4" are too tiny, if I need to go finesse I use 5" with 1/0 owner "j" hook, and for 6" I use from 2/0 to 4/0 in Mustad 37177 or Grammy Ewg, preferably 3/0. For 8" I use 4/0 maybe 5/0 in the same brands and models of hooks. Some times side rigging the lizards improve the bite ratio, it means, if you exit the point of the hook, by "ribs" instead the back. Good fishing David
  6. Thanks Basshunter very illustrative, maybe I didn't explained enough, I' m thinking in Rod, length, action and tapper, and fishing line, I would appreciate suggestions from experience. Horny toads, or soft plastic toads unweighted, is what I' m thinking, and basically my question comes because frog rods are suggested heavy action fast tapper, but all kind of frogs?, because all these rods, came with the minimal weight suggested in 1/4 oz. most of them in 3/8 oz. and some of them in 1/2 oz. And Horny Toads according to me, weight less than 1/4 oz., then I might think, that frog rods, refer to other frogs than "soft plastic, weight less, surface frogs" and I like to know, more about rods, reel and line for exclusively " soft plastic, weight less, surface or burning frogs" Thanks David
  7. I would appreciate suggestions of set Up, for fishing horny toads. Thanks, David

  12. B@ssCrzy: I fish most of the time in stained water, I really can't tell you if there's a better or color, I use mostly any watermelon pattern you name it, Bama Bug, Red Shad, and black some times merthiolate, or white works well, some days one color rules, the other all the colors work, and other days no one. If I fish on clear water I like to use natural blue. David
