just wondering if there is anything out there that can bring back the color in my Ranger??? it looks like a milky haze on top of the gel coat...is there any products that work better than others???i tried sanding with 1500 wet and then buffing then waxing its better but not great...any suggestions would be great...
the best thing to do is get rid of that set-up and go to something more standard so to speak,,,like a 7-way if you have ele. brakes or just a basic 4 flat...hope it helps :-/
just got my boat back from the dealer and it was the carbs...they rebuilt them, and also something to do with a power pack or packs...anyway the boat runs great...thanks for all the info.......revman..
you were right i tried the 19 and still the same thing...i went with a local boat shop tech. and he seems to think its in the float adjustment because when the motor is level it idles fine, as soon as you trim it all the way down it starts to spit and spudder...it just doesnt have the balls to spin up because of too much fuel...the boat has a 30 day warrenty so im just going to take it back to them and see what happens... thanks revman
thanks gambler im going out tonight with a 19 and gonna try that...i will let you know how it works...i honestly dont think its in the motor it runs great on bottom and top end...thanks for the advice.....
with the 17 prop it does go over the red line of 5200 rpm...i also had the floats checked and the ignition...everyone i had talked too seems to think its a prop problem...do you think i shouldnt have a problem with the 22??? thanks revman
just baught a 94 ranger 17ft with a 115 hp johnson...the boat has a hard time brakeing plane...i installed a (dolphin) on it...the prop that i got with it is a 22 so i tried a 17 and it comes out better but lost 6mph...any ideas would help greatly... thanks revman
