  1. I would assume you're doing something different with your hookset on the faster rod. Maybe you're easing up a little because it feels like you hit resistance faster, where with the slower rod you have more give and feel comfortable laying into it more. I don't know, just a thought. If you're using the same type of baits/rigs and everything else is the same besides the rods, I couldn't imagine the rod itself is causing you to lose fish, it's something you're doing different. I think the mono might solve your problem. Good luck
  2. I would try mono or copoly on your St. Croix and see if the added stretch helps balance out the x-fast rod a little bit. I also agree that using leaders in your situation is probably unnecessary and just adds additional knots that can fail.
  3. Daiwa rods and reels Lucky Craft hard baits Zoom soft plastics
  4. I've never ordered from Amazon Japan but Digitaka is my first stop for JDM reels. I've placed orders from Digitaka and TW on the same day multiple times and the Digitaka order normally arrives first. Great prices and free shipping on reels, can't beat it.
  5. I actually had a decent day today, hopefully it will keep going through the weekend.
  6. So someone else might have a little more knowledge on those specific models than me but I believe the Curado DC on TW is an older model, from 2018 and the Scorpion DC on JDM sites is a newer model from last year. So the Scorpion should definitely be an upgrade all the way around from the Curado.
  7. Another thing I will add is that since you mentioned the Curado lineup in your original post, look at the Scorpion on JDM sites. It is the JDM counterpart to the Curado.
  8. They are the same reel with a couple of minor differences. If I'm not mistaken the US Zillion has larger knobs and brass gears while the JDM version has aluminum gears. I have 2 of the JDM Zillions and they are awesome reels. I wouldn't buy Shimano or Daiwa anything from a US site right now, no reason to over pay.
  9. Yep the one I'm seeing is the previous model, the Steez CT SV TW 700, which I'm finding $150-$200 cheaper than the TW sale price but I'm not finding the newest one. It might be USDM only.
  10. The Steez I listed is more expensive than the CT, which can be had for $400. The '22 Stellas are under $700 but not by much.
  11. This isn't true. Antares DC's and Steez LTD SV TW's can be had for under $500 nib.
  12. I'm in north Texas and we have all 4 species of venomous snakes. I see water moccasins and copperheads fairly frequently but haven't seen too many rattlesnakes and have never seen a coral snake. I know a couple of people who have been bitten by copperheads, I never kill them but I definitely do leave them alone.
  13. Nice shotgun, is that the A1? I've got a 18.5" 590 Regrograde. Terrible picture but it's a fun shotgun
  14. I have no issues at all with this one and have a few friends with them as well. For the price they are hard to beat.
  15. My pistol is one of the cheap PSA 10.5" 5.56 kits. I don't hunt or do anything serious with this gun but it's a fun one to shoot.
  16. This is my best tournament so far this year, only day 1 though.
  17. I don't think it really causes anyone that much trouble, it's just dumb. I don't care which one they pick but pick one and stick with it.
  18. Is she going to carry the gun on her person, in her purse or will it be a nightstand, home gun? I would take her to a range and rent a few 9mm's for her to handle and shoot. Something small if she's going to carry or something larger if it's going to stay at home.
  19. I shave my face and head clean usually twice a week. I started going bald at about 19 so I haven't had hair on my head for a very long time. I will occasionally rock a beard until I get sick of it, which usually only takes a month or so.
  20. Not my post but I'm sure it was recommended because it has better abrasion resistance than Sniper or Tatsu
  21. I did pretty badly last week, hopefully this week is better.
  22. Good luck fellas!
  23. Yeah there's no telling how many lights are on it. It takes 4 or 5 days to put up and the wiring alone is impressive.
  24. Billed as the tallest indoor Christmas tree in the US, at Galleria Dallas. 95' tall and spans 4 stories.

    2 shot club

My dad has COPD and is in the high risk, pre-existing condition group. His dr recommended he get a 3rd shot and after some research by the pharmacist he was allowed to do so. It had only been 5 months or so since his first round of shots. He said the side effects for the third were more mild than the first 2. I will definitely be getting a third as soon as I'm able to.
