  1. the info that they gave you was GREAT! I have been a Opti owner on all my boats from the start and never had a problem with any of them. they are great engines that will get you where you need to go and back safely and quick! but if I was you I would try to find a rig that you really like with a Mercury 200-225EFI they are built proof and Optis arent that much better on fuel anyhow and the EFI sound SO SO SO SO GOOD!!!! I would still to this day run Merc EFI's the reason I dont is because Optis are IMHO a smoother running engine.. not because of fuel savings ECT ECT. but the optis are much smoother and when running a high speed boat a smoother running power plant is safer because vibrations cause you to drift when running fast if there is any play what so ever in your steering system. All in all I believe Merc EFI are the best out boards you can run if you arent running them on a 90+MPH boat... you will not notice drift on a 70-80MPH bass boat from vibrations.. however one a 90-100+MPH boat you will and its causes you to have to work the wheel more to keep the boat running right and also causes much more chance of chine walking.. anyhow If you can find you a EFI powered boat it will be cheaper to buy and cheaper to fix!!! you will love the sound and you wont really notice the fuel savings the Opti will give you anyhow... But the Opti is a GREAT engine and always was if you found the right boat for you and its Opti powered dont be scared to jump on it if the boat was taken care of it will take care of you.... early model Optis was the best engine then as it is the best engine now....
  2. some pics! the steez rod for the ITO will be here today or tomorrow! thats gonna be a sick setup for sure!
  3. one of the best pitching reels on the market Daiwa Zillion.. handles any size lure with ease and pitches a mile and a half! sure it doesnt have 24LBS of drag... but theres not one person that owns a revo thats got the drag totally locked down... so Daiwas super smooth 9LBS of drag will give you all you need. and it has the most comfortable frame on the market.... Based off the TD-Z need I say more?
  4. Daiwa Exceler for 69-79 dollars and I assure you its a far better reel.
  5. Throw you on some 15LB braid and you will be fine.. Ive used that Cajun junk once when I was in need of some 10LB and didnt want to run to the store and my friend has some.. I spooled up my Pixy and when I used it I thought I spooled up with rubber bands... that stuff has GOBS of stretch pull it off and use some braid or FC to cut down on stretch and increase hook setting power 10 fold!
  6. I got the TD-Z's today and they are perfect as he said they was!!! not a scratch on them! I should have the TD-ITO tomorrow! I will get some pics up! that ITO is gonna look sweet on the Steez rod.. Shes new but shes gonna be fished I already have some in the display case this ones being fished!
  7. He means there is nothing better then a Daiwa.. just a small typo lol! JK get you a SOL man and you will be a Daiwa fan forever.
  8. I think its great line! I really like their AN40 but its all good stuff.. I have used SST for many years and always like it the only bad thing about it is the stuff is stretchy as a rubber band lol
  9. lol yeah im dead! I just hope I get to fish them before my untimely death lmao!
  10. I also ordered a NIB TD-ITO thats been on there for like 3 months and everyday I look at it so I just bought it lol.. 549 +18 shipping for it but its a 103 new in box.. I have a few new ones that I want to fish so badly but cant bring my self to doing it.. I have 3 used ones that are boat rash free and I fish them a lot.. I know the now 3 new ones I have will be on rods soon but It just hurts to think about scratching one you know. the wifes gonna kill me when she checks the bank account lol.. a new steez rod 6.3MH a new TD-ITO and Two TD-Z's and probably fixing to but a new in box Alaphs R some ones selling for 329.00 I cant pass it up!
  11. A store on Ebay called Dolilfishie sales LTX's for 150 and refunds 20 bucks at check out so there 130 and free shipping.. I have bought from them a lot and its always super fast shipping and a first class seller and I would buy from them again in a heart beat! all LTX are new and 130.. you cant beat that.. they carry all models of the LTX and gold's... check them out...
  12. man I just made out like a bandit.. I got two Daiwa TD-Z's on ebay one for 163 and one for 187 one is a 105 and one is a 103! They both are mint condition! Iam so happy they will be here today! im sooooooooo happy!!!!!!!!
  13. check out the Daiwa Zillion swim bait rods! the Zillion series are amazing rods in the 200 dollar price range and the performance is amazing at the price point check out TDZL741XHFB or the TDZL801HFB.. I own two of each and love them super super light and well balanced rods that have a life time warranty and simply perfect actions! if you want to spend less then that check out Daiwa Light and Tough TL-801-5FB or TL-801-6FB you can pick them up new on Ebay for 129 and free shipping the L&T series are VERY good rods awesome actions and balanced really well and look d**n sexy too! there not as light as the Zillions and dont have Fuji Sic guides like the Zillion but still makes a super sweet swim bait rod for a really good price I have the TL-801-6FB and the L&T Flipping stick and both are sweet rods with mega comfortable reel seats (not quite as comfortable as the Zillion reel seats) and high quality build from tip to butt. Another good rod that I own and use is the Daiwa S series flipping stick TD-S76THFB you can get them new for 90-100 bucks shipped. its a great flipping stick and it doubles as a lighter swim bait rod and has a great tip for swim baits not something that can be said for most flipping sticks. I got a Daiwa I'ZE Millionair light on my S rod and the rod handles baits from 3/8's to 2oz's perfect its only rated to 1 1/2 oz's but it can handle a 2oz bait just fine. and when you need a really good flipping stick its there for you. one last combo that I have owned and was very sweet if you are a Quantum fan is the Quantum Superlight QTX767F the tip is very much a flipping rods tip and kinda stiff but all in all it works GREAT for flipping and pretty good for swim baits from 1/2oz to 4oz's I had a Quantum energy pt 760 on it and used it for swim baits over 2oz's was a nice combo but I sold it on Ebay about 6 months ago because I have pretty much went all Daiwa JDM cept for a few USD Zillion reels and Steez rods and reels. I also have a Carrot stix LTX CLTX-791XH-F-C swim bait rod that Is listed on ebay for 115.00 buy it now and free shipping. and a Carrot stix LTX CLTX-701XH-F-C that will be listed on Ebay later this evening buy it now 115.00 and free shipping.. both rods are mint condition and dont even look used. I bought a total of 10 E21 rods 6 Carrot golds and 4 LTX's and dont use them so all are being sold on Ebay. dont get me wrong they are sweet rods for sure but Im a Daiwa, Megabass and evergreen kinda guy so they just didnt have a place in the rod locker once I used them for a bit I kinda got cought up in the new technology deal and bought way to many. only one that will not be sold is a 7'MH fact action Carrot gold and a 6.9MH parabolic LTX crankin rod. If you like the carrot stix idea let me know and Ill send you the item number and change the price and sale it to you for 115.00 buy it now and free shipping because you are with this forum! they are listed at 115.00 and 18.00 shipping.
  14. a awesome rod for 200 dollars is a Daiwa Zillion rod.. a really awesome flipping stick is TDZL761HFB to tell the truth I like it better then me compile-X Steez flipping stick. very very light and sensitive rod with a life time warranty and the most comfortable reel seat ever made! dont get me wrong Loomis=Great rods and the IMX and GLX's are wonderful rods. I just need JDM rods to be happy! the Zillion gives you all the feel and looks of a super high end JDM stick at 1/3-1/2 the price! the Zillion rods cant replace my evergreen and Megabass sticks but they sure do make it hard to open the wallet to buy them now days! Go check one out and I bet you will agree they are amazing rods and the price makes them that much sweeter! I use one of my Zillion flipping sticks as a light swim bait rod as well and it does the job well. If you want to go Loomis BCFR954 I have one that I just put on Ebay about 2 hours ago. I could do a buy it now for you. its mint condition in fact the cork is so clean you cant even tell its been used.
  15. Daiwa Exceler 69-79 dollars or a Daiwa TD-PRO 99.99 but on sale for 79.00.. both based on the same reel the difference is the TD-PRO have bearings in the handle knobs.. high quality ALUM framed high bearing count reels for a good price! and its a Daiwa!!! = best breaking system on the market. check them out you will like them their high quality reels for a good price. Also dicks has Quantum E760's on sale right now for 79.00 (Im a JDM Daiwa kinda guy) but still can tell you that its a very good reel for that price. its the last years model. they are a touch heavy but cast GREAT and LAST FOREVER! and look pretty darn sweet. print you out a 10 dollar off coupon for dicks and get it for 69.99 man thats a deal. I'm a prue Daiwa JDM kinda guy but still had to go buy two of these Put them both on flipping sticks and dont care if they get beat up and have enjoyed both very much for the week ive had them and 2 times ive used them. I was even throwing a BBZ 1 shad on it on a 7.6 H Zillion rod and its casting performance is really good.. Me being a pure blood Daiwa guy and telling you another brand/reel is a great reel for the money tells you alittle about the reel... the reel isnt as comfortable nor looks as good as a zillion but the drag and casting/pitching performance is very close to the Zillion. I really believe it would be the reel for you to get you cant touch anything else for that price that will be as good as the Energy 760PT. They will probably sell out pretty fast so I would go the Dicks and pick one up soon if you are going to get one... you cant get them off Ebay for that cheap!
