  1. Another new product that i noticed on Cabela's website. Has anyone had the chance to throw this bait yet? Worth the money? Also how do you hook this bait? Thanks, VC http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?id=0075951124886a&navCount=2&podId=0075951&parentId=cat600384&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&cmCat=MainCatcat20166-cat600384&catalogCode=IA&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat600384&hasJS=true
  2. i purchased zoom trick worms to try and use the shaky head more, but it it doesnt suspend off the ground like i thought it would. Am i doing something wrong or should i try a roboworm?
  3. You should be using a 7' + rod with H power. This is definitely critical to pulling those guys out of the pads and thick weeds. You also need to be using Braid. I personally use 50 lb power pro. As far as presentation i usually throw it out and let it sit for 10 seconds. Then just start bringing it stopping a few times and start it again. Its pretty simple
  4. Can i get a review on this product? http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?id=0075955124925a&navCount=1&podId=0075955&parentId=cat600384&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&cmCat=MainCatcat20166-cat600384_TGP&catalogCode=IA&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat600384&hasJS=true Thanks, VC
  5. I am about to start looking seriously for my first bass boat. I really want to get a newish bass tracker for under $3000. Where would the best place to look for a deal like this? If you guys have any other information that would be helpful that would be great. Thanks, VC PS. I do know about how light the bass trackers are and im not worried about having a lighter boat
  6. What do you guys think of this lure? I have heard some mixed responses in reviews, but i trust your opinions more. I also am planning on using the tadpole version because of the fact i live in MN Thanks, VC
  7. I am wondering what i should put/keep on my setups. Right now i have 8lb mono on my spinning reel. I primarily use this combo for plastics and topwater occasionally. I dont have anything on my other combo which is a Prodigy baitcaster with a 7' Fenwick HMG. Im thinking i should put flouro on it. I really just dont know much about what lines are the best in certain situations... Thanks, VC
  8. Now i need to know how what to do to clean out my bait caster. Does it matter if i have only used it a few times? What do you guys usually do to make sure the salt water does not damage your reel? Thanks, VC
  9. Just bought a 7' MH...im pairing it with a my new Curado. I cannot wait for summer! VC
  10. Well i got the 7'. The 6'6 was only in a 2 piece and i don't think i want that. Thanks
  11. I have a Curado 200E7 and am looking for a rod to pair it with. This is going to be a jig/swimbait/sometimes plastics rod (pretty much my most used setup). There is a crazy deal that i found on Fenwick HMG Graphite Casting Rods, but dont know what size/power to get. My guess would be 6'6 MH Thanks, VC
  12. I actually caught it out in Kentucky...my personal best here is probably around 5.5 lbs
  13. On December 20th me and my brother are heading to lake ockachobee to fish some LM. We have a condo in Sarasota so we are looking at guide services on the northern part of the lake so we dont have a 4 hour drive. Any advice that you guys can give for my trip? I live in MN so i have only caught snaller bass and cant wait for this experience. Thanks, VC
  14. I would have done that already but i have like $15 worth of line on it :-/
  15. Cabelas Prodigy....it was like $110 but i got it on sale for $60
  16. I just bought a new baitcaster, and whenever i throw it there is a loud noise that i want to get rid of. I see Bill Dance use a spray bottle on his reels. What product is that/where can i get it? And would that help? BTW i have 50 lb power pro on Thanks, VC
  17. Honestly i dont really care about the size motor i just want it to be in good shape You need to rethink that statement. The absolute worst thing you can do is buy an underpowered boat. It will not perform and you will hate it shortly. i really dont think i could hate any boat...right now i have a pontoon... I just want something that will allow my to try out other lakes, but at the same time be fiberglass so i have better control in the water... For a 16 1/2' boat would a 60-90 hp be fine? I really dont need the biggest motor out there
  18. Honestly i dont really care about the size motor i just want it to be in good shape
  19. Yea i am not looking for a ranger. I meant the ranger style boat
  20. I am looking for my first fishing boat to start doing tournaments. I want the typical Ranger type bass boat (fiberglass), but i can only spend around $4000. Is there any companies that sell these types for cheaper than the well known ones? I have been looking on craigslist for a used one that is newer than'99 but no luck so far Thanks, VC
  21. I get %75 of my fish either in the morning or evening, but in between i just cant get the hang of. What you guys fish when it is hot/sunny in the middle of the day? And where? Thanks, VC
  22. Thanks guys i went out and tried it tonight. Didnt like it at first but then got use to it, but i did realize right away that i can cast much farther
  23. I sent my broken Fenwick pole back and just received the new one in the mail today. The only problem is they sent me a 7' instead of 6'6". I have never used this length of a pole for my spinning setup. Should i go through the hassle of sending it back again? Or do you guys also use this length? BTW it is my plastic setup
  24. Cabelas hands down.....we also dont have a BPS here :-/
  25. I would try them, but i can guarantee they are too big here in MN it would be considered a muskie bait ;D
