Honestly all i have used is the Cabelas brand and it is much harder than the spros. I guess i just assumed BPS has almost the same product, but i guess not.
Either way i didnt like the Cabelas brand i felt i was missing more than usual, and yes i do know how to frog fish
just look at my picture
My favorite frog is actually the River2Sea Bully Wa Frog. The downside with the spros are that water starts to get into the frog after catching multiple fish. With this bait they hand tied to the top so that isnt going to happen.
Love the color with the pearl bottom that is going to catch you the most fish in my opinion
I am just wondering if i should sell me HMG (i want a 6'6) and if i do end of selling it what should i look at to replace it? A few that caught my eye were the St. Croix Mojo, Falcon BuCoo, Cabelas MagTouch, and i always have loved the Eagle GT
Thanks,
VC
Thanks alot!
I decided to just wait for a newer bass tracker. Not only did the floor scare me on that boat, but it being 33 years old did as well. I also thought if it was so easy to fix why didnt you just do it in the first place to get a better profit on the boat?
I was thinking about getting myself a new curado, but i want to wait if the new model is coming out soon. Does anyone new when they are going to be realeased?
Thanks,
VC
The guy with the boat that has the rotten spots got back to me with this email:
"The couple of soft spots are hardly serious, it's just flooring, has absolutely nothing to do with the integrity of the hull and there is zero risk involved other than it can be annoying (which is why I suggested putting a piece of treated wood over it). If you actually looked at it you would be able to see that it isn't really a big deal at all"
You need to look at those boats again my man. 3 out of 5 have exactly what you asked for.
You're probably not far from St. Anthony, right? It looks like that Sea Nymph is at a dealership. Go check it out this weekend before you see the fiberglass boat. Seriously. I think it will help you out a lot.
I wouldnt mind that boat at all, but i dont have $3500 and if i did i would be all over a bass tracker
When its a 30 year old boat already exhibiting problems, yes.
Not what i wanted to hear but thanks
I was in your shoes a couple of months ago. I know all these "negative" comments are probably discouraging you from buying your first boat, but they should be seriously considered. What's the point in forking over $1k if you have to spend another $2-3k fixing a rotten floor and transom? Why not just save that money and buy a nicer/newer rig? This is definitely not a decision you want to rush. There are a ton of boats out there, plenty have been added to this thread for you to see. Make sure to consider what these guys are talking about because so far everything I've read is very sound advice. Good luck finding one!
yea ll probably pass on this one and wait for a tracker to come along in my price range
Like i said before it has everything i want. Storage, trolling motor, pedistal seats, been taking care of (besides the floor).
If the floor is a very small area should i give it a shot?
The other boats you showed dont really have what im looking for
Honestly that looks too bulky :-/ BTW thanks for looking!
I like the second one i had because it has EVERYTHING. Like you said the only setup would be rotted spots so when i go and check it out i will take that into account.
he said it was just a small spot in the back. Im going to check it out on Sunday, but only a $1000 for everything i need and more would be a sweet deal.
Wow i continued to search and found this listing
http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/csw/boa/1607882426.html
It is right by my house and i got it down to $1000
What do you guys think? Im going out there Saturday and hes gunna start her up for me and show me the boat.
Is this a good deal?
Thanks,
VC
O no i dont have my mind made up at all. It just seems like i would need a bigger boat if i would have more than two people on board.
Honestly i just want your opinions to help me decide if this is a good first time boat for me.
Yea he just said it was too small, because he needs a minimum of a 16 ft to do tournaments.
I mean ive never even owned a boat i dont know if this is super small or what. The most that will be on the boat at one time is two
