  1. Rage craws Spro Frogs Zoom Flukes Senko's Fat Ika's Zoom Trick Worms Boy would I be happy with a spare $100!
  2. Fat Ika is a killer. Fish it. All the time.
  3. I love the Rattle Traps, but I've never caught a fish on my Rapalla.
  4. Senko's are pretty amazing...they always seem to catch fish for me. They certainly have negatives though; Gut hooks, and quite expensive. I love them though...I can sit in one spot for 1/2 an hour and just barely move them (I'm quite patient) so they're perfect for me. Of course, chigger craws are pretty good too...
  5. Side or underhand
  6. Senko's and chigger craws.
  7. Went fishing again today; no luck just a few hits. Am I correct to keep my thumb on the spool as it goes out? I am finding that I can loosen the brakes up, but I have to keep the spool from going berzerk. Is this correct?
  8. So I took the new to me reel out today, and after five minutes of birds nests every cast, I figured it out enough to catch a few bass. I just read that tutorial...still a bit lost. Can someone explain to me what each part does? What do the brakes actually do, and what does cast control do? When I was playing with the brakes while fishing, I did'nt notice a difference. I did notice that if I loosened up the cast control, I had instant bird nests, so I kept that pretty tight. Thanks for the help guys!!
  9. Hi guys. I just got an Abu Garcia Black Max given to me. I was wondering what is a good way to set up the reel? There are dials, and things to spin...I have no idea what any of them are, or where to put any of them. It's my only baitcaster, so I need everything in a spot where I can throw all I throw...senko's, some cranks, spinners etc. Thanks for the help guys!
  10. I feel the same way. I'm near Baltimore, and it's 40 outside right now with a bit of drizzle. The water temperatures have plummeted. I was really looking forward to some nice fall fishing too. Not so sure I'm going to get much of that though. That's ok...when it's to cold to fish, that's when you get out the guns.
  11. I have a friend who loves to fish for white perch. He throws on two shad darts, about a foot and a half apart from eachother and just kind of jerks them back in. When you can fish for bass...or really anything else at all, white perch is not that much fun. Unless that is, you are looking to eat them. In that case, have a blast!
  12. Only time my desire to fish slows down is when it's hot as hell outside, and I know I'm going to almost die if I go fish. When fishing, or anything else, is something you truly love, you won't get sick of it. I could throw a Senko every day all day (so long as I wont die from heat exhaustion) and never get sick of it. Same with hunting or music (my other hobbies). I can sit in a tree or int a goose pit every day and never tire of it, or play a D minor scale forever cause I really love those things. Maybe fishing was just something you were into for a while? Who knows, and really it's not a big deal. Try it again next year. Maybe the fire will be back. Oh, and sometimes real life get's in the way of things like fishing. Nothing wrong with that either.
  13. Feeling that tug on a soft bait is unbeatable. Especially when it's a big one.
