  1. The swivel and leader work great for me. I usually put a really small bullet weight like a 1/16 or 1/32 before the swivel to get it to sink a bit. The action is just beast when its rigged with a swivel. Zoom Watermelon Majic.
  2. I use the A-Jigs. Really nice jigs. The skirt gives them a real nice fall. And they sponge up real nice too.
  3. Manns 12inch Jelly worm. 12 inch Blue Fleck and Motor Oil Power worm. And every and any bait i find in my boat.
  4. i am interested in trying to make my own jigs. What type of cost am I looking at to get started. Can someone forward me to some good information on what type of materials I may need? Anything will help.
  5. I like to flip and pitch a jig in cover. Black and blue with a rattle and a black and blue craw. 1/2 or 3/8 for most situations. I can say that the bass I catch with jigs are always HOGS!!! My suggestion is that you go fisihing with nothing but jigs until you catch something.
  6. I recently did an upgrade on my boat from a 12v to a 24v. I used the same receptacle and plug. I removed the plug from the 12v motor and placed it on the 24v motor. Works great. The only thing that matters is how you wire the batteries. Use the correct fuse or breaker. You should be fine.
  7. What brand is it? I know that my minn kota came with a velcro strap. I bolted my trolling motor to the bow with the strap pinched between the mount and the boat. I strap that sucker down and it dont move.
  8. It should fit. I switched from Motorguide to a Minn Kota and used the same holes.
  9. I am taking a vacation to Florida in July. I will be in the Orlando area. I would like to take a guided tour on Ocheechobee. Anyone know of a reputable guide?
  10. I am going on a Florida Vacation with my family July. I will be in the Orlando area. I would like to take a guided fishing tour on Okeechobee. Does anyone know of a reputable guide?
  11. How do I figure out if my trolling motor is digital or not?
  12. The screw that holds the cranking handle has a defect and breaks real easy. Pinnacle sent me a replacement real quick. Also the spool has some type of defect also. Pinnacle replaced my for free reel quick. You must call to find out about this. they didn't send out recall. Over all the reel is great after it was fixed.
  13. My instruments were hooked on to the cranking battery. Now they are hooked up to a 12v deep cycle. The battery is used just for the instruments. Every other instrument works. Tilt, pressure, battery, speed, and rpm guages all work except the gas.
  14. i recently installed a new trolling motor in my boat. I am running two 12 volts for the trolling motor, one cranking battery for the outboard and one 12v deep cycle for the electronics/everthing else. My setup before was one 12v deepcycle for the trolling motor and one 12v cranking battery for the outboard and electronics/everything else. After making the change everything works great except for the gas guage. I won't mark how much gas I have. Before the switch it was working great. Can anyone give me some advice on what it might be or what I might have done wrong? Maybe some information on how to trouble shoot the problem. Anything would help. Thanks in Advance,
  15. I bought one from bps. A nitro boat. They are a tracker dealer. They are just located inside the BPS. I had no problems. I even ended up getting like 300 dollars of free gift cards. I do believe that local dealers will service your boat last. Call tracker main office and file a complaint on the dealer. They'll straighten them out for you...
  16. I had bought an X-4 with a Mercury 60hp engine. I didn't have a problem with starting the motor. I had problems getting the boat to plane. I don't think the motor size is big enough. If you notice the x-4 model is no longer available for purchase anymore. What happen is they did away with the model because it was only able to have a 50hp and a 60hp and the motors are just not big enough to move the boat. I had Bass Pro shop going crazy trying to fix my boat. They did so many adjustments and could not get the boat to plane. At the end, Bass Pro ended up giving me an x-5 model with a 115hp on it. Now the boat is really moving. 52mph. I was later told by Tracker that the x-4 models where going to get there stickers removed and they were going to recertify the boats with the coast guard as x-5 models to be able to accept a minimum of 90hp and a max of 115hp. Just something I thought I would share with you.
  17. I know you're asking about the Stratos 176xt. I took a look at one and they are really nice, but I decided to go with the nitro x5. I have about 15 rods and a bunch of gear. The boat is very stable and runs like a champ. She does about 52. I had a 115 installed on it, but you can get it with a 90. The down side is that the boat still needed a lot of upgrades which I am working on right now. Like a bigger trolling motor. I need to add another battery to make it 24v. I just added humminbird 587ci indash and moved the other to the bow. My over all experience with the boat has been sweet. Take a look at one you might like.
  18. What brand of batteries do you all recommend? Size and any other specs that would help? i want to be able to fish 10 hours with out any problems.
  19. Nitro X5 with a 115 Pelican two seater 2 hp and a 54 pound Trolling Motor.
  20. When it gets to this point, do you just start the outboard and let it run for a bit while the battery charges? If so, how much time do you let it run for? Would you recommend replacing the cranking battery with a deepcycle/cranking battery? From my understanding the cranking battery will not last as long as a deepcycle. As far as usage goes. I run everything of the cranking battery except the trolling motor. I have this concern because today I was at the lake and noticed on my graph that the volts were at 11.9 after 2 hours of fishing. I recently added a new graph about 3 days ago and I was wondering if this was causing my battery to drain faster. I have an interstate brand cranking battery.
  21. I just bought and installed a new Humminbird 587ci fishfinder/gps. The unit has a low battery alarm feature. What would be a good voltage for me to put on this option? I am not sure what voltage I need to be able to start my outboard before my battery is completely dead.
  22. Is use 50# tuffline for pitch heavy cover. (Falcon Lake) Tuff is pretty solid braid.
  23. Great information. I currently have a 50A fuse for the 12v. Will this fuse do for the 24v? Or should I just go with the 60A? How do I find out what size fuse to use or what size of breaker to use? Thanks in advance for all the great information you all are giving me.
  24. Great Pic. Now I have a better understanding how the wiring works. Im going to need a 60A inline fuse. Is that correct? I took a look at my neighbors boat yesterday and he has what he calls a breaker installed instead instead of a fuse. Would you have any clue of whats going on there? Or is the breaker acting like the fuse?
  25. My boat has a that wall socket look alike to connect the trolling motor. So the trolling motor doesn't connect to the batteries directly. It just plugs into the socket.
