I am having trouble with my pour. I fluxed the lead and removed the impurities but after pouring several jigs the top of the lead become a red color and my pour is not consistent anymore. Could it be the lead that I am using is really dirty? Any tips or advice for getting a good pour or dealing with dirty lead?

I have the rage rods

I order two new rods from Bass Pro. My first outing the glue that holds the top part of the rod seat unglued itself and I was not able to use it anymore. I sent it out to St. Croix because it was cheaper to ship to them than to ship back to Bass Pro. Then other rod i was pitching with it and the reel keeps coming loose. The crew that the rod seat has keep jumping the grooves. It looks like im sending this one to St. Croix as well. Im wondering if any of you all out there have the same problems with these rods? This is my first time owning a St. Croix. Rods are like weeks old.

Mechanic can't get it right! Sad part is that I am still dishing out $$$ when the motor is still under warranty!!!! First it was a bad gas bulb, then it was bad coils and the motor was only firing on one cylinder! He moved the coils to different positions and supposedly it was corrected. It fails after it runs good for a while. While meaning first couple of runs during one outing. Mechanic says the computer says everything is fine. Know hes telling me that he thinks the coils are heating up. It kind of sucks to be taking it back and every time it seems like they are guessing. No alarms on the motor. The motor starts even when its stalling. All maintenance has been done on a timely manner. It usually starts up fine then after riding for a while the motor stalls and will only give out about 2200 RPMs. Its been to the shop 4 times for the same issue in one month!!! Its a 2009 Merc 115HP. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

what I like to do to get some relief is crank the reel a couple of times then use the rod. Pull the lure with the rod and reel in slack when bringing the rod back to normal position. Simple but helps a ton.

My boat steering is pretty stiff when the boat is not planed out. When I say stiff I mean in need two hands to turn the wheel. Its hard for me to maneuver the boat around other boats on the boat ramp. Once the boat is planed out the steering is pretty effortless but still some what stiff. I am comparing it to my friends rig. The turning of the wheel on his rig is effort less on plane or not on plane. And the boat was easy to maneuver around other boats as well. Thats when I started wondering if there is something wrong with mine. Any suggestions??? Both have cable steering

Has anyone fished Canyon Lake, Texas lately. Im going to be out there for a week and would like to get some information. Is it worth taking my boat? Any information about bass fishing at Canyon Lake would be greatly appreciated.
