Dude seriously, I know Vendetta's are what "everyone" has, but the one I have is actually legit. I have the 7'3 HXF, which is the most perfect frog rod I've come across. It's not tip-heavy (with a reel on it) and it's strong as a mo-fo.

I've heard nothing but good. Split-grip, no foregrip.

Got out today for the first time in a couple of weeks. Brought the new video camera for a test-drive. Pull up to the first spot and on the second cast caught a dink. Couple minutes later caught a nice 5+ swimming a Rage Craw. Then went flippin' for a while, caught two doing that. It was a pretty good day, around 10 fish in 2.5 hours. Here is the video.

1. Virginia 2. This Summer has been good. I haven't been catching the numbers, but my average fish is like 3 lbs. The big girls have been evading me so far, but I'll eventually get a hold of Nadene. 3. Reasons -I over-fish my ponds. -I fish too fast -I've been more focused on that all-too-familiar little monkey we all know and love -Been guiding a lot on the local river focusing on the big kitty-cats, not a lot of time for bass -I fish too fast -I can't fish slow enough -I fish too fast

I've been doing a lot of flipping this summer, along with fishing a fair amount of wood cover. I just wanted to see what you guys like to use bait wise in different types of cover. I'll break it down to: Pads Heavy weeds (includes matts) Slop Laydowns Trees For pads I like to flip with a 3/8-1 oz. tungsten weight, depending on how thick they are. I have found Berkley Powerbait Chigger Craws get in and out of the vegetation best, or baits of similar profile (slim and compact). In heavy weeds I use the same thing, or a creature bait like the RT Space Monkey or Smokin' Rooster. Weight varies. For slop I usually just throw a frog. If they won't hit that, it's a Chigger Craw again. In wood cover I love throwing Hack Attack jigs. The hook on those babies are s-t-r-o-n-g. Of course it's tipped with a RT Craw. All of this is thrown on a flippin' stick with 65# PP.

My average number per trip (2-3 hrs) is probably 4-5 fish. But, the average size is 3 lbs. I like to fish 1-2 hours before the front arrives, then if there's no lightning fish through it. After the storms pass it slows down, but the fish can still be caught.
