I like the Craw and Smokin' Rooster on the back of swim jigs.
I will warn you however that the Rooster is really a BIG fish bait when swimming on a jig.
Other than that, every bait is special. I couldn't have just one Rage product, they are all outstanding.
Mr. Parks, you always say "a Big-O thank you" or something along those lines, I would like to extend a Big-O THANK YOU to yourself for making these awesome baits! They're all I throw now.
You are the man.
Got to the best pond today for 2 hours of fishing, caught 7 in total, none under three pounds.
They were hitting a swim jig with a Rage Craw on the tag end. Love fishing swimjigs!
Most of the fish were this size:
My all-around goals:
Fish some new ponds (already doing it!).
Learn to finesse fish (dropshot, shakey head) because all I ever do is flip, pitch, and throw huge plastics!
Get out in a boat more.
Catch a 25 pound limit in one day. Hookingem and I came very close earlier this year with a ~23 pound bag.
I want to dial in to the art of "big fish hunting".
I catch a lot of 3-5 pounders, which are really fun and I feel blessed with every one, but I want to be able to catch a BIG fish on a pretty regular basis.
For me, a 5 pounder is a "nice" fish, a 6-8 pounder is a "big" fish, and a 9+ would be a monster.
With braid, unless your career is depending on fishing or you're just loaded, the Extreme isn't necessary.
The Champion is a very good and sensitive rod.
