  1. That's a heck of a deal on a heck of a reel. I got mine for $90 shipped BNIB. At that price, I should have bought two!
  2. Yep, when a bass bites, it flares it's gills and inhales the bait. Bass GENERALLY do not pick up the back half of a worm.
  3. It didn't fail you... ...you just didn't figure out what they were biting.
  4. I REALLY love your reports RW. Good job, keep them coming! Gear question - do you ever have problems setting the hook with the stretch of a non-braided line? I switched to braid because I hated the stretch.
  5. Watching a kid catch fish like that. I teach kids how to catch and watch catfish in the summer and I would do it for free or actually pay to do it.
  6. I really hate fishing cranks, but those are BAR NONE the best for the money IMO.
  7. That was awesome man! We need more!
  8. Hahahahahahahaha!
  9. I have a set of ABEC 7's in my Citica. Makes a world of difference. If you run them dry, they will be noisy but cast a LONG ways. Woody, I'm guessing Wayne put grease on them. Next time you see him tell him to run them dry.
  10. Once you set the hook, point the rod tip down and just reel away. Don't stop till she's in your hands.
  11. Mountain Dew works, but putting it back in the water will instantly clot the wound.
  12. I just spit soda out my nose. That was hilarious. Props to you my friend.
  13. If I ate that bread at Texas Roadhouse all the time, I would be huge. HUGE.
  14. Ladies and gentleman, go to Texas Roadhouse.
  15. Most of my big girls are caught mid-day. I think slow, even to the point of dead-sticking is a pretty deadly technique. Rolo, you are very well spoken man.
  16. Steady, more fast than slow. I really need to get some keel-weighted hooks for this technique. Swimming Rage Craws and Lobsters is a really well-kept secret, it's just filthy.
  17. I think Shimano makes a quality reel, no doubt. It's basically the Toyota Camry. I think Daiwa makes the Audi, however. I feel like Daiwas are more solidly built.
  18. This was one healthy son-of-a-gun. Fought like crazy. I hit her good too. Myself and hookingem have probably caught 40+ 4-5 pounders this year, but the big fish have eluded me. AJ has two 7's, and I'm getting ticked.
  19. It's curled up...was using an Owner Twistlock. Now that I look closer, it does look weird.
  20. Caught a decent fish FINALLY the other day and it's my 2011 PB. 6 even on the scale, hit midday on a Rage Lobster, swimming it. I really like the Falcon Craw color. Shimano Cumara CUC-72MH Curado 200e7 50# Fireline 5/0 Twistlock 3/8 oz. tungsten weight Then this morning after my last exam I did a little off-roading and found this little guy - probably 3.5 feet long. Snakes smell like s**t. I don't know why the hell I had the balls to just pick him up, but I did! Scared the crap out of everyone that drove by pretending like he was biting me!
  21. Lost the color much quicker than most braids, thick, and it sinks.
  22. Daiwa for me. I think that Shimano is a great company that makes a wonderful product, but for me Daiwa reels feel more solid and smooth. They feel like they are machined perfectly, and built like tanks.
  23. No I read it! I really like the Fireline alot more than my old faithful PowerPro. I didn't like the 832 at all.
  24. HAHAHA^ oh god! dodgeguy you turned me on to Fireline and now you're a traitor!
  25. I would say get a spool of braid!
