  1. Thanks everyone for all the advice I'm going to start trying some of them this weekend. It's just hard to fish tight to the bottom in most parts of it being the bottom is full of like hydrilla or some sort of weed and this pond is like fishing in an aquarium I've caught some 10+plus pound fish out of there but alot of times I'll see a monster but they just won't bite but it's cool snorkeling with them
  2. Thanks for the advice and they do hit other things to but i just was wondering about the crawfish because it seems to be one of there major food sources i appreciate it
  3. Ive been fishing a small 14 acre spring fed pond with super clear water even in 30 foot of water you see the bottom perfectly. But my question is every bass ive taken home from there which is only been 3 has crawfish inside of it and sometimes when i catch them they throw up crawfish in the boat. But it seems crawfish lures dont work so great. The pond is pretty deep around the whole thing with a good amount of hydrilla in it im usually fishing in 1 to 20 feet of water with how fast it drops off. How would u go about fishing this?
  4. Yeah trust me i got 30lb braid right now seems to work pretty good so far
  5. yeah thanks guys i threw some zoom horny toads today for awhile i did ok but usually i do a lot better so i was just wondering how others would approach it but still any one has some ideas throw them out there
  6. Today me and my friend went out to a lake that we usually catch a bunch of bass but nows theres a ring of hydrilla about 20 feet from the shore and it consumed a whole corner of the lake how would you go about fishing this?
  7. Theres not a guard at the gate or any type of security is just one of those enter a number gate type thing me friends 19 the other guy was probably 25 or so
  8. Well the guy had a friend with him and when we told him not to take fish like that out of the lake he asked us what we were gonna do we really didnt know what we were going to do and then we didnt say anything and he said thats what i thought u F**king something and then my friend got into it with him the other one picked up the fish
  9. Yeah I know my friend did knock him out but he was asking for it, but i guess ill just have to call the cops next time and trust me these fish arent smart for how big they are the pond just happens to have a rather large wild shinner population
  10. Yeah Avalon has alot of ponds that have people put chemicals in them to keep them clean, but if you would have ventured over to waterford i could have put you on some big fish
  11. Im over by UCF about 5 minutes away from it I live around the Waterford, Avalon part of Alafaya
  12. Here is the picture of the 15 that I caught earlier this year its not photo shopped because i already know someone is going to say it is its a crappy camera phone that i have I have a picture of it frozen but I have to find it here it is
  13. Yes its a gated community but thats not gonna keep people out of it obviously it just frustrates me to see people not catching and releasing in my neighborhood
  14. If you live in Central Florida and you find a pond that had schooling bream/blue gill there is a bass to be caught just be sure to fish ledge you probably didn't see and bass because of the 100 degree weather we have been having
  15. I live in a neighborhood with hidden lakes and ponds all connected together and no one is supposed to fish it unless you live their, it even says that on a big white sign, well yesterday I walk up to my favorite lake since I was just about 10 years old and ive caught enough double digit bass out of this lake to make most people jealous but me and my friend turn the corner and here comes just guy walking away from the lake with a 11 and a 9 pounder in his hands my mouth just dropped immediately started freaking out he responds it's not my fault you catch the big one and my friend knocks him out but he still gets away with the fish because they were already dead this is the fourth time I have seen this happening and thats all I've seen who knows how many other times it happens but what would you do if saw people taking fish out of private ponds that you live on. These people live about 15 miles away in trailer parks and come and fish all the time I don't mind if their putting them back to fight another day but they take fish out of run off ponds and what not that I know their not eating because I know their not even that stupid to eat them with all the toxins going in their.
  16. Snake Heads, Bowfin, and Bull Heads, but mostly Gar
  17. Early morning or dead night
  18. It has always brought me bad luck
  19. This is what I do its just like fishing the inlets during the tide changes for snook look for places that have noticable breaks in the currents especially if they tend to have drop offs
  20. Throwing an 8inch bluegill through a culvert after a heavy rain and on about the third drift my bobber doesn't just go under it explodes like a grenade just went off I though it was a big bowfin set the hook and fight it for about a minute and a half through weeds and everything other obstacle you could think of I get her to the bank to see a bass with eyes the size of a cow but at this time shes in two inches of water and mud I tell me friend to pick it up so I can keep tension on the line instead of lipping her he tries to pull her by grabbing the line snap and their goes the biggest bass of my life was easily 16.5-17 pounds because I caught a 15 pounder that I have mounted and it made that one look small my friend never touches my fish any more :'( I still fish that culvert after every heavy rain
  21. Hes right about catching bass redfish and snook all in the same spot I do it all the time when it rains really hard and I go to the spillover and don't forget the occasional tarpon in the mix
