  1. I have an Endura C2 and would be interested in doing this, but what foot pedal would be compatible? I searched online but wasn't able to find anything.
  2. Tangipahoa Parish but will soon be moving to Lafayette
  3. Every time I use braided line, it seems to catch on itself mid-cast and knot up. Is this because I don't have my reel set up properly, or because I need a different reel to use the braid? Thanks
  4. Like the title says, I'm looking for a casual fishing partner close to where I'm located. I've never fished tournaments but I wouldn't mind entering a few. I finish school in a week so I'll be free all summer.
  5. I'm a teenager and I fish almost every day of the week.
  6. Today, I got to fish at a friend's farm pond that has some huge bass. The pond is rectangular shaped and is about 60 yds long and 30 yds wide. As soon as I got there, I spotted a bass that was at least 5-6 pounds in one of the corners. I fishing that spot the whole trip throwing brush hogs, worms, senkos, spinnerbaits, and a shallow crank, but I could not get it to even chase the baits. What can I do to interest the bass next trip?
  7. I'm giving my dad the Quantam Tour Edition rod that I have on my Daiwa Megaforce reel which is the setup I use the least. He was using an 6'6 MH Ugly Stick which is what I will probably be using with the Daiwa. What lures should I throw(Cranks, Spinnerbaits, etc..) using this setup?
  8. What is the best deal I can get on a good rod for under $200? I want to use it to fish mainly soft plastics.
  9. I think it's about 10 ft deep. Thats only a guess from diving down after a rod one time. There is a deep spot then it rises up to about a 2 feet of water and I can see weeds all over the bottom in the shallow water.
  10. I don't have any deep diving cranks or any other lure that is obviously meant to be fished in deep water. In the pond I've been fishing I can usually catch all I want with brush hogs and worms along the bank, but lately the bite has slowed down along the bank. I figure that the fish have moved deeper because its so hot here. What are some lures that I would be able to try and catch deeper bass with? Thanks
  11. I have a Daiwa Megaforce reel that was my first baitcast reel. I've had it for about 5 months now. It has dirt and stuff in it from riding on an ATV on dirt roads. When I cast and reel in it doesn't feel near as smooth as I think it should. I think that it greatly hurts my sensitivity when fishing soft plastics waiting for that subtle bump. How can I fix this? Thanks
  12. I read your post earlier today before I went fishing. We got there and my dad caught a fish on his first cast before we even untied the boat from the dock. After about an hour of no fish, I started thinking about your post. In the next hour after that, I caught 3 and my dad caught 1 more. I don't think it's bad luck, at least it wasn't for me. Edit: I was having a great day a few weeks ago and near the end of my trip I was catching a fish almost every other cast. I decided when my last cast would be and caught one about 2 feet from the boat. I put the rod down and left happy ;D
  13. I am always reading about matching colors and sizes of lures to the bait fish that are in the pond or lake. I fish ALOT at this one pond and have never seen any bait fish. How can I find the bait fish in my pond? Thanks
  14. Thanks for the help I just purchased a Cabela's Pro Guide 3600 on sale for $20.00 so hopefully this will help out.
  15. I'm not sure what forum this goes in but I would like to know who makes quality tackle bags and how much I should spend on one. I'm tired of having to carry my small plano tackle box, my big browning worm binder, and my small plano spinnerbait box separately. I want a medium sized bag so I will only have one thing to lug around. Thanks
  16. Now that I look at it I guess you're right. That's crazy I've been fishing with crappie bait a lot in this pond and haven't gotten anything
  17. I thought that this was too yellow to be a crappie. I've never caught a crappie that wasn't white.
  18. Caught this on a Lucky Craft sexy shad crank today. What type of fish is this?
  19. Not sure of the name. I wrap the line around itself 7 times then run the end through the first hole and then through the loop that made.
  20. I'm a beginner and most of what I use is worms or baby brush hogs. I just recently caught my first spinnerbait fish. Before that, I hated using them. I don't know what depth I'm fishing so all I can tell you is that its mainly small ponds that I fish.
  21. I'm thinking about buying some of these and I want to know if they are a good bait. Do you have any luck with these and how would you fish them differently than any other soft plastics?
  22. If I was to get just one expensive bait like a Lucky Craft which one should it be?
  23. I'm planning on ordering some lures from tackle warehouse. What are some of your favorite and most productive baits? Be specific and it can be anything from soft plastics to buzzaits.
  24. Just fished in this new pond today that was big enough to take a flat boat out and had a pretty good day by my standards. I caught six fish in about 2 hours. Most of the fish were about a pound and one was maybe 2 pounds. I had one bite that felt like a much bigger bass but when i set the hook my knot came loose >. I tried fishing that same spot but had no more bites. What should I do to catch the bigger bass in the pond? BTW I was using a watermelon seed baby brush hog the whole time.
  25. I've read the articles but I have a few specific questions. First, how long do you let your bait sit at the bottom before you start your retrieve? Second, do you raise the rod tip in one fluid motion or tap it up to bring the bait in? Third, how do your retrieves differ from different types of soft plastics? Worms, Brush Hogs, etc.
