The water temps here are getting into the mid to high 80's. As summer progresses do you think the majority of bass will go deeper into the vegetation or venture into deeper water? My home lake has a lot of vegetation around the shore line but it has a few decent drop offs (for Florida) and is around 20ft at it's deepest.
For those of you that keep a log/record of the fish you catch what info do you record? I started keeping a record over the past two months and wanted to know how detailed you guys get.
Thanks
Texas rigged, I either pitch it or fish it like I fish a regular worm. Cast it out and let it sink to the bottom pull it up a short ways and let it sink back to the bottom repeat all the way beck to the boat. I usually use a 1/0 to 2/0 EWG hook, some may go larger.
I would have to agree with kikstand about the solene I have had one for a while and it has given me no problems with heavy use. I use it primarily in fresh water but it has been in the salt a few times.
I have the same rod, the berkley shock with 65lb power pro on it. There is a slight resistance with mine as opposed to the co-polymer i had on it before, but it has never been bad enough to cause me any problems. Also it tends to become less noticeable after a few casts and the line gets wet.
I fish freshwater 99% of the time but will occasionally will do some light in shore fishing. If I wash the Revo immediately after use will there be any adverse effects from the salt water? Thanks
I have been picking up a few by pitching jigs and creatures around weeds and cat tails. They have mostly been smaller but one measured 22" and I got another that was a few inches shorter than that. The bite has definitely been picking up lately though.
