  1. I can't comment on the field and stream rod but I have a lightning rod and I had a shock. I would take the original over the shock any day, even if they were the same price. The shock had too much of a wet noodle feeling for me.
  2. Nope when she calls it is only once and she keeps it brief unless there is an emergency, but we don't have any kids either.
  3. My golf handicap would go down considerably
  4. I have fished around them all my life and have had no problem. They usually only become aggressive if they have a nest or someone is/was feeding them. Leave them alone and they will leave you alone.
  5. plastic worms and those $1 spinner baits for wal-mart; watch your fingers I had one clamp down on my thumb it wasn't much fun

    Croakies?

I use cablz, you won't even know they are there
  7. Tie at 9lbs; one on a rage craw and the other on a stanley spinnerbait
  8. I haven't noticed any sinking with the 12/50 832 and don't have any problems fishing topwater with it.
  9. i have a 501pt and love it so far. I use it for pitching 99% of the time and have the flipping switch on all the time, tied my PB(9lbs) with it a few months ago also. I can't comment on longevity though as I haven't had it very long. It was only $50 on ebay brand new
  10. I will have to let you know in a couple days, I have one in route now.
  11. Had the reverse bearing go out on one within the first month also. This was when they were fairly new to the market though.
  12. I like them. I have been killing them with the wooly bug and big show here lately.
  13. I would get all soft plastics, but I am happy with the rods I have and I think that I may have an addiction.
  14. Yum wooly bug and rage craws
  15. Try a storm hopper popper. It's a small topwater popper that has caught a lot of bass for me.
  16. The local wal-marts here had some in a clearance bin along with some other Yum Lpt stuff. You may want to check your local one.
  17. I got a vicious popper the other day. I only got to make a few casts with it but I did have a blow up on it. It looks good in the water for only being $2.
  18. I am fairly new to braid and got some 832 to put on a pitching combo. Before the braid limbered up there was little to no rod tip wrap, but now that it is broken in it has been getting worse. Is this common with most braids and can I correct it by changing my technique? It is 50lb braid Thanks
  19. I use the roosters, they are great. I primarily fish them weightless and have caught some good ones on them. They also produce t-rigged, c-rigged, flipped, pitched ect...
  20. I got an accurist 501pt for use on a pitching rig on ebay for $50 new in box. So far it has been great. It is smooth and has a good drag.
  21. Is it typical for baitcasters to lose that much drag power after break-in or is this something specific to the Revos?
  22. I have been using the 832 for a couple weeks. It seems to be fading fairly quickly.
  23. I use a 4/0 straight shank gamakatsu with 7" (give or take) ribbon tails like culprits or zoom mags. I think I get better hook ups than the EWG's I used to use.
