  1. 832 is on sale at Dick’s.
  2. Pooping frog? Maybe spro has gone a little too realistic.
  3. Mister Twister top prop. You can still get them.
  4. This was true in my experience. My torrent’s spool bearings started screaming after the second or third use.
  5. I bought a torrent just out of curiosity a couple of months ago. After cleaning the bearings it’s been fine. It’s not as palmable as my more expensive reels. It is smooth and casts far. It’s a $30 baitcaster though, it’s better than what I expected but I don’t plan on it lasting for years. Guess time will tell.
  6. I’ve used the 12” jelly worms, small bass eat them too. The zoom ol monster is is one of my top producers.
  7. I use basswood it’s soft so it’s easy to carve but stronger than balsa wood so you don’t have to do wire through for your hook hangers and wire ties. I use devcon 2 ton to seal the raw wood allow it to cure and then paint. After the paint dries apply the devcon as a topcoat and put it on a turner. Crankbaits can can be tricky because there are a lot of variables. I usually put the ballast at the belly hook hanger. After I have the ballast installed and the wood sealed I float the lure in a bowl of water to make sure it’s floating right. The lip slot needs to be cut straight. I use lexan sheets and cut my own lips. Lure making is a lot of experimentation to find what works for you and what doesn’t. Hope that helps some. There’s a ton of good information on tackle underground in the hardbaits section.
  8. I've done pretty good with a whopper plopper 130 in loon, this is in the warmer months though. Also a dark color baby torpedo.
  9. Is there a projected release date on the savage gear gill?
  10. I caught three night fishing during the last full moon. It was the black larger one, using a straight retrieve.
  11. Culprit had something similar a few years back. The finish looks much better on this one
  12. Made it out for the first time in a while last Saturday morning. I was fishing with my brother in law and we each picked up 3 fishing submerged weeds in around 8ft of water. I got all of mine on a zoom mag finesse, nothing very impressive size wise. He picked up 2 on a wacky rigged strike king ocho and one that went 4.75lbs on the scale using live bait he was dragging behind the boat. Its a pretty clear lake around 7ft of visibility surface temps in the low to mid 80's. I caught a couple small ones on a different lake on a baby torpedo right after the sun set that evening.
  13. I believe gambler makes a pretty big cane toad Edit: I just looked it up I think they changed it
  14. I got a 5 year so I think it comes out to $16 a year give or take
  15. I like abrazX. I would stay away from vanish. It was the first flouro I tried and it was horrific.
  16. I have a Wave on my belt all the time. I'm not sure how I got along before without it.
  17. I'm fairly confident it was a beetle spin and it's long gone
  18. I have been very impressed with my MH carbonlite, I mainly use it for t-rigs
  19. I use 17lb with no major memory issues
  20. 3/0 EWG gamakatsu I've tried the offset shank worm hooks but my hook ups weren't very good
