  1. read up on lake atkins in arkansas. they drained it and built it back up as a trophy bass fishery.by 2 or 3 years they were catching some 6+. there was a great article in arkansas wildlife magaizine a few years ago on it.
  2. hahah i know i was kidding with you since theres no bone jarring strike with deadsticking like there is with topwater . and since when is 13 bass a slow day. hahah if thats a slow day i need to start fishing like you. B)
  3. psh. it seems like topwater is your answer for everything. you need to take up finesse worm fishing and deadsticking. way more exciting strikes
  4. oh and beware of snakes. theyre out bigtime there. bigtime
  5. My link i think that should work. if not its the west pond on humphreys between gtown pkwy and kirby. I broke in the new float tube. it was a ton of fun. couldnt catch a cold on anything but zoom superflukes. But once i got them fired up i caught them till i ran out of superflukes. had a nice one break me off. the bad side to a float tube is lack of storage.
  6. hahahaa i fished a place in germantown and i didnt catch many but they were all very nice size. all around or a little over 3 on zoom super flukes. this was in a place usually full of dinks and thats usually a bait that attracts dinks.http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/public/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif
  7. you should do a jig with blue weed guard. black skirt with about 4 strands of chartreuse and 4 strands of living image black and blue. and the black with purple glitter head. and post pics.

  19. tip #1 pray for rain tip #2 if you like your boat, take your buddies boat tip #3 rent a boat tip #4 its basically a 16,000 acre Cypress swamp and wall to wall stumps. And the water is lower than normal.....so its really shallow. tip #5 What ever week you go, you should have been there the week before, or the next week after you leave, the fish will be jumpin in the boat. Tip #6: Pay attention to what all the good ole boys are doin' and do the same. Tip #7 Go to kentucky lake or pickwick....
  20. if you want a hard line between the two colors what i have been doing with moderate sucess is covering the part that i dont want painted with a few layers of blue painters tape. painting the whole thing. taking the tape off and curing it. and then covering the painted part with blue painters tape and redoing it with other color. must get thick coat of powder paint to be effective IMHO
  21. have fun launching your boat with the best and the brightest of memphis at lakeview....hahaha
  22. fox model single blade spinnerbait
  23. roads were a little icy for my tastes this morning. especially gtown parkway and in front of cameron brown park. but nothing was shut down :( :( :-[ :'( :'( :'(
  24. Roboworms sink until the salt has dissolved. This takes about 30 min in the water. I dropped a new one over the side and it went to the bottom. Later it floated up. Got on their website and there is a page that explained the salt release and how the worm responds. The salt is in the head of the bait so maybe the tail dose float up in the beginning I have never tested it. i tested it. tails barely rose up after about 15 mins. took between 3 and 4 hours for mine to float. i was a little dissappointed.
  25. x2. i take a few out of their original bags and throw them in a zip lock. on the very few that do bend , their action isnt too far off of what a unbent one is. sometimes the small difference is what the fish like. veryyyyy true. i have one fluke that is ripped in a special way and that i melted back together. when it falls it spirals fowards. its hard to explain but magic in shallow water. (flats)
