  1. WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think you'll enjoy it here.
  3. Versitility is my weakness. I depend way too much on cranks and spinner-baits. I've got to use plastics more.
  4. Welcome aboard !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. From what you are saying , I would say the other boater was out of line.
  6. WELCOME BOONE . I HEAR YOU ARE A BIG KISTLER FAN. I'M THINKING ABOUT BUYING A SPINNING ROD LATER THIS YEAR AND KISTLER RODS ARE DEFINATELY ON MY LIST.
  7. Keep it simple . for carp use canned corn , fish them on the bottom. for cats , use chicken livers , also on the bottom.
  8. THE TRACKER IS JUST NOT WIDE ENOUGH , VERY UNSTABLE. ALMOST LIKE A CANOE . I LIKE A BOAT WITH A MINUMINUM WIDTH OF AT LEAST 48". DO YOU INTEND TO USE THE BOAT ON SMALL WATERS ? IF SO THE SCORPIO IS THE BOAT I'D BUY OUT OF THESE THREE BOATS . I WOULDN'T WANT TO USE ANY OF THEM ON A LARGE BODY OF WATER.
  9. Believe aquatic birds such as herons , will bring differant fish eggs into the quarry. When they are wading in a lake , the eggs will get attached to their feet or legs and they are unwittingly transported to another body of water.
  10. Are you talking about catching carp , catfish or bass? You are not real clear on what your trying to say.
  11. When do you fish , early morning , during the day , late evening ?Low light conitions , use an amber color , sunny conditions use grey color. Are you only interested in the coastal del mar glasses? Go to WWW.LUREEYES.COM .They have excellant glasses for 120.00 .
  12. One way to solve your delima if you fish out of a boat , is to have at least four rods rigged for differant techniques (soft plastics , cranks , spinner-baits , top water) , don't leave your spot until you have thrown all your set-ups , this should help you put bass in the boat and to set a pattern for the fish.
  13. ANY WHERE FROM 2 - 12 HOURS. The situation dictates how long I'm on the water.
  14. Tie your line directly to the bait. I use a palomar knot.
  15. NWGABASSMASTER............You do have to admit that it might be a little easier to remove a hook from a LARGE-MOUTH than a crappie. Now with that said , be assured if the hook is in a vital area , I just cut the line just like you.
  16. If you are using spinning gear , it wouldn't hurt to tie one on to help reduce line twist.
  17. The last bass that I hooked deep , I was able to cut the hook off and take it out without any apparent trauma to the bass.
  18. Berkley ST. CROIX OR LOOMIS ?
  19. Med/hvy rod with braid is what I use.
  20. Hey guys , all the techniques we've been discussing on this issue work at one time or another. I just took issue with the statement " normal retrieves don't work most of the time". It's just me ,no big deal.
  21. I use a lighter drag setting with braid , I use both Med. and Med/Hvy rods with fast tips. I do believe the med. rods are the best with braid. , but this is just my opinion. I hope this gives you some insight.
  22. You can go to cabelas or pro bass on the inter-net and log on their catalog section. they have all their 05 catalogs listed. pick the one you want to see and you can view each page individually plus order from it. hope this helps.
  23. I sure caught a lot of bass on wasted cast's this year.
