  2. Make sure you throw the rat-l traps and the spinner baits also.
  3. WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! # 1 Don't fish during a thunder storm. # 2 If it is over cast use a dark colored bait. #3 You didn't say what type of baits you have so I can't comment any farther.
  4. It would probably be better to buy a new lure that is desined for the action you are looking for.
  5. 1/8 oz. cranks usually have # 8 or #10 hooks. #1 split rings. 1/4 0z. usually have #6 or #4 hooks. # 2 split rings 1/2oz. usually have #4 or #2 hooks. # 3 or #4 split rings. The above is generalizing because differant brands sometimes use differant sizes. Buy a good pair of split ring pliers . It's a good idea to buy the Rick Clung split rings (oblong shape ) at BPS ON LINE. I do use # 2 hooks on 1/2 0z. traps but it is a personal preferance.

  18. I've been mulling over the idea of getting a St. Croix Avid AS63MXF spinning rod to throw 1/8 to 1/4 oz. spinner baits . Any pro's or con's about this idea would be greatly appreciated.
  19. WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are the plastics still plyable and soft ? If so they are good to go. I would change the hooks on the hard baits though. Have those reels cleaned and lubed. Check the eyes on the rods. Needless to say the line will have to be replaced.
