    Like anything else its a personel preferance based on what you are looking for in a rod . There a many quality rods from differant companies. Some times it just comes down to who has the best warrenty on their equipment. If I were to spend over 300.00 for a rod , it would be a rod built to my specs. by a professional rod builder.

    Do your self a favor , try fishing with out a leader for a month or so and see if you have differant results (more fish , less fish).

    braid if i remember correctly but coulda been mono Braid only.

    You're not doing it right. Type in RECOIL GUIDES Uncheck the CHECK ALL BOX Click on FISHING RODS AND REELS , LINE , LEADERS AND KNOTS. Click on ALL POSTS. Hit the search button and you will come up with 100 posts.

    Unless you are wormin in crystle clear water why would you want to add a leader to your braid ?It's just something else that could go wrong. You're defeating the purpose of braid by adding stretch to your line with the floro or mono leader material. JMHO
