  1. You better check for random houses in the lake after today's storms. Lol.
  2. Look guys, comparing the history and elegance of a Ferrari to a vette is like drinking Boones Farm to a fine bourdeaux. Ferrari is elegance and craftsmanship at its peak. A vette, although nice, is a working mans Ferrari IMO. I'm just saying the new F12 has oddly similar lines and look. The purr of the Ferrari engine is unmistakable. Neither car would every make it in my garage as they are not practical. Give me a truck any day. Can't pull a boat with a stallion.
  3. I would be looking ALL year for that boat..........
  4. I know, I know, its a Ferrari. But, I am NOT impressed... Looks like a Corvette. http://editorial.autos.msn.com/blogs/autosblogpost-ros.aspx?post=6700958b-7e0e-4b60-9721-584a05381f00&icid=autos_2458&GT1=22026?ocid=ansauto11
  5. Any good mechanic is worth his weight in gold. Be it boat or auto. I make it a point to leave a little extra in my payment for the tech who works on my rig and always round up. If my bill is $75 they get a $100.
  6. X2 on State Farm. However, my boat policy is listed in Northern Michigan, Oscoda to be exact. I currently live in Cincinnati. May need to switch also. The policy was held there because it was cheaper due to it being a boating area. Not sure if that is true in your neck of the woods.
  7. To quote a classic (possibly auto edited) "I would have a sweet V from my chest pubes down to my Ball Fro"
  8. It is killing me not to be able to attend.. Unfortunately, work and baseball conflict with scheduling. I wonder if I can get RoadWarrior to wear a hat cam and I can skype in during the beer drinking sessions? It could be the road trips first annual live action camera... One day I WILL get there
  9. two words BOOTY CALL
  10. I only watched for J Lo's dress....... :eyebrows:
  11. Great looking boat! I love my Stratos. Did you have the motor checked by a technician before buying?
  12. Awesome coloration. I wonder what species mixed to form those colors? I had a buddy who tried to breed a bull dog with a Shitzu once. He called it a "BullShi_ _" LMAO
  13. Grey wolf and Catt are out fishing together....
  14. First, welcome to the site. Second, we may be able to give you more help if you supply us with a little more detail. It sounds like you are saying that when he catches a fish the drag is too loose and the fish runs off line faster than he can reel? That would be a simple fix, tighten the drag. The drag should be a star looking piece of metal on the handle side. just turn it clockwise to tighten the drag. If I am missing something please enlighten me
  15. That is amazing technology. you could actually see your bait being retrieved like a video game. EA sports will partner with Hummingbird to make the Xbox version. LOL
  16. How about Tuna Fish Sammiches (that way all that falls over the side of the boat becomes chum) Seriously, homemade beef jerky, cliff bars, water, beer/alcohol does NOT make it on my boat
  17. A wise man once told me "if you have to ask, you can't afford it." My advice would be to pay cash for the boat, typically, boat loans are not the greatest ideas. The boats depreciate much faster than cars/trucks. As far as insurance, mine is around $150 a year with tournament coverage. A storage space for a 20 ft boat is going to be costly, around $100-$200 monthly for that size. if you can't afford to pay cash and don't have a place to store it you may want to reconsider...... just sayin
  18. WOW!! Forgot how much I missed a custard filled heart stopper.
  19. Option 3 Get rid of wife, buy new bass rig, move to Mexico and live like a rockstar while fishing ElSalto until ticker gives out. Leave remaining money to dog....... Old joke: Put dog and wife in trunk of car and leave for an hour. Then, open the trunk and see which one is still happy to see you.
  20. Could not agree with you more. Congrats to Ferris State! It still amazes me that hockey is not more popular. I get it that most of the country never sees ice, so hockey is not really an option for most to enjoy. However, it is one of the last professional sports that hasn't been tainted by money, egos, and bad officiating. I can't even watch the NBA for most of those reasons. Go Red Wings!!!! Bring home Lord Stanley
  21. I just read an article in a magazine, outdoor life, field n stream? that was written about these carp. It went on to say that they performed blind taste tests on hundreds of people using Tilapia, Carp and either cod or haddock. 2/3 of the test subjects chose carp over tilapia. All fish were prepared the same way. I also read an article that talked about the ability to farm these Asian carp and utilize the meat to can and send off to homeless shelters etc. These fish are a bounty that is untapped and can be used rather than government idiocracy twitlling their thumbs until they hit the great lakes. Someone had to eat the first lobster too.......
  22. If you get a chance, head up to Flushing Hicks Outdoors. Ask for Ryan Thibaut. He will give you all the info you need.
  23. Try contacting the NBAA. Most of the santioned tourneys for division 60 are based out of that area and fish Lobdell, Ponemah, Oakland, Fenton, Mott etc. Tournament director is Rich (?) sorry can't remember his last name. Lobdell has a non sanctioned Wednsday night tournament that launches from Whites every week from 5-6pm till dark. Also look up Bassaholics. Friend of mine runs this club. Josh Wright. Hope this helps
  24. Hard work beats Talent when Talent doesn't work Hard.......
  25. Years ago I used to hide small notes to the bank tellers inside bank deposits from my restaurant. I wanted to make sure my managers were verifying the deposits in the morning before taking them to the bank. Between bands of $5 I would place a small note with things like " Hello bank lady, my name is ________ I am wearing aquaman underwear" or "Hello bank lady, you can't tell but I'm not wearing pants right now" My guys always went through the drive through so it was even better. The bank tellers started keeping the notes and putting them on a board. They told me that they couldnt wait for our deposits in the morning.
