  1. In a previous thread I mentioned that I almost ripped off my lower unit on a submerged log/stump. After hearing that my insurance would cover the cost I got to looking at my policy and noticed that the motor amount is covered for 8K. Boat is a 96 and so is the motor. Thinking worst case scenerio what is the cost of a new 150? I have never even looked at pricing of the motor before without the boat attached. Any info on a used or new would be great. Thanks all
  2. Hey Doc, I have been having this sharp pain in my %^$%& lately and I can't seem to fix it with home remedies. Do you have anything to cure baitmonkey-itis??? :)
  3. Thats the odd part. It did nothing to the prop, not a nick on it. I run a stainless but I don't think it even came into contact with the object
  4. HAHAHA Please refer to the Man Rule thread for the latter
  5. Welcome to the site. Most boats should have a small plaque located on the stern. Mine happens to be on the starboard side of the motor. Do you have any owners manuals? I am assuming you are not the original owner.
  6. sometimes I'll belly up right next to a guy in an empty bathroom and start singing show tunes, just to amuse myself........ "I get no kicks from champagne" :Idontknow: LMAO!!!!!!!!
  7. Reminded me of a time long ago when I had consumed a "few" too many. Went to the mens room to break the seal and as I am bellied up some dude comes and breaks the "RULE". Just about that time, my buddy walks in and says jokingly "Hey Fritter, did the blisters go away yet?" The guy next to me almost went on his leg and I nearly fell over trying not to laugh.... good times
  8. Just got off the phone with State Farm. $250 dedeuctible and the rest is paid for. Hopefully, the damage won't be too severe. Although a new 150 optimax would be sweet LOL
  9. Yesterday was a beautiful day. Air temps in teh mid 70s, water temps around 50, and just a perfect day to make my 2012 maiden voyage. Perfect, right up until I almost ripped off my lower unit on a stump or log going 50 mph across the lake. It busted my skeg in half and cracked the housing halfway around the prop. Not sure if it did any damage to the internal parts. I'll take a few pics to post. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER....... Question: Is this something covered under the boat insurance? I have never had this happen before so any info is greatly appreciated. BTW, engine is a 96 Johnson 150
  10. In my opinion, saying OG has good Italian is like saying McDonalds is a good quality hamburger. You go there cause its convenient, not because your craving great Italian food.
  11. Was actually at the boat ramp yesterday to check if the docks were in yet. Watched a husband and wife lauching their boat. The wife, actually, was in the boat Yelling at the husband on his technique. So much so that she made him pull up the ramp and kicked HIM out of truck while backing the boat in by herself... I was laughing hysterically and thinking "this must be opposite day at the ramp" My wife wanted to get out and hug the lady
  12. I just spewed coffee on myself after reading this thread. I did get stabbed with a Lawn Dart when I was a kid.. Stuck right in my stomach. That was back when they were heavy and metal with pointed tips. Good parenting mom and dad, let the kids throw spears at each other.. LOL
  13. I'm a big Berbatov fan. Smooooth..... Then again, you can't even argue the greatness of Messi (sp?)
  14. Taylor Swift isn't undatable she is unattainable which makes her attractive. Poor schlubs like us will never get close In all seriousness, I thought I read or heard that Tebow was ***?? No, I am not trying to start a whirlwind of controversy I swear I actually heard it somewhere. I love Tebow. I think he is great for the sport and has shown that it is OK to be a christian and succeed. I could care less what he does in his private life. That is HIS business
  15. Man U. Hands down.
  16. Just a question: 25-30 gallons of water is a HUGE livewell. Are you putting musky or pike in it or just bass? 30 gallons of water equates to an additional 240lbs. Is that a bit much? It sounds very well built though

  21. Take a look at these articles. They are very informative and a good read during winter months. http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/scent_bass.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/scents-and-attractants.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/mega.html
  22. If this doesn't make you want to run through a brick wall you have no heart.... God, I love baseball...
  23. Option 1: At 16 you are limited on job opps. stay at the pizza place and ask to move to deliveries as soon as you can. This is where the tips are and more money. Most pizza places will give some sort of gas stipend to their drivers and you can't beat the tips. Option 2: Go to work at Ikea and look at the women walking around all day spending their husbands money. Washing dishes is NOT a crap job. So, don't think a dishwasher is a lower form of life. In ALL of my restaurants/bars the dishwasher is THE most important job in the place. And, I treat them that way. They always get special perks, food, gifts, etc. No clean plates, no food goes out. Many chefs agree with my position. Also, you can work your way up to serving where the real money is located. If not at Ikea, at another restaurant. You have to be careful as most places with alcohol cannot employ servers under 18 and under 20 and a day in some states. Option 3: Work you ARSE off and get better at lax so you can get a scholarship to college. Hard Work beats Talent when Talent doesn't work Hard......... good luck
  24. nice. That dog is in heaven right there...
