  1. I am from Cincy but now live in Michigan. For Lake fishing head just over the boarder to Brookville in IN. Ceaser creek, Paint Creek, East Fork all all fairly close but have terrible boat traffic. For river fishing, try the Little Miami. Good SMB fishery Also, Where are you located in Cincy?
  2. Your Gimble mount has holes in the bottom. These holes match up to the rectangle on the Ram Mount. Just screw em in, tighten them down and go fishing.
  3. Nearest lake = 1.2 miles 1085acre lake. Lake St.Clair = 60 miles About the only GOOD thing about being in Michigan is abundance of good fishing and hunting. Everything else =
  4. just dropped her off. Thanks for the info guys. Also, is there a "cure" for heat soak? I can't tell you all how valuable the information is that is communicated here on a daily basis. Not only for boat maintanence but everything water related. I can only hope that I can help someone else out at some point to return the favor.
  5. Thanks for clearing that up... YOU SICKOS ;D ;D I guess that did sound odd. Can't believe I didn't catch that when typing. Yes the aroma of skyline coneys, finely shredded chedder cheese, oyster crackers and hot sauce. MMMMMMM can't wait to go home.. BTW Field and Stream or Outdoor Life just mentioned the little miami as one of the top smallie rivers in the mid west. Can't remember which I read it in.
  6. The bite has definately been tough so far. Then Again, I'd rather catch a bunch of smallies over LM any day. Headin up north next week fishing my way down from Hillman to Fenton and can't wait to see some bronze
  7. I spoke to the mechanic today. He stated that it could be a "shift switch"???? I don't even know what that is... I'm taking her in on Wed. God help me if he has it for another four weeks.
  8. Okay folks, you all have been fantastic in regards to helping me figure out issues in the past so here goes: In previous posts I stated that my motor was stalling under load. It starts right up cold, idles down, runs fine. When you turn the motor off to fish for awhile, turn it back on it starts fine. Then, when you throttle it will shut off, no sputtering, no coughing, just quits. I took her in and the shop put her on the Dyno, said they couldn't get it to stall and it ran at a perfect 5500 Rpm. Now I am questioning the shop because after they "couldn't" find anything wrong I took it to the lake the day I picker her up and without fail, STALLED, just as before. To me, it sounds as if it is not getting fuel, can't be. Wouldn't the Dyno test show this though? :-/ Any help is greatly appreciated and Thanks
  9. Other than tinkering and trial and error. What books, videos, manuals can I utilize to become more mechanically inclined at fixing minor issues with my motor? (150 johnson)Can you all suggest a few things? As you have said in previous posts, " better to learn to fix it yourself than toss money down the toilet" :-/
  10. Your going the wrong way!!! DEEP DEEP DEEP Structure Structure Contour Structure. During the warmer months DMB will go deep, sometimes 45 +. Concentrate on bottom contour and current.
  11. A little olive oil and some garlic.
  12. You are killing me. I would actually drive the 290 miles just for a couple of coneys and a three way. Good luck
  13. BWs Spicy Garlic You could lather up a piece of poop and it would taste great with that on it.
  14. Grew up fishin this lake and thinking of heading back for a few days this summer. How has the fishing been? Man, we used to pull some TOADS outta there. 75bass mornings were common. I havan't fished it in probabaly 8 years or so though. Any info would be great

  16. First thing I would do would be kneel on my casting deck and thank the fishing gods for letting me find a spot like that. Then I would fan cast the edges with search baits before honing in on specific spots. Probably drop a nice big swimbait along the ridge as well.
  17. Be patient. I just ordered my first batch of them, took them out to the lake yesterday and fished them where I woud normally toss a Senko. Bam! five fish in 1.5 hours. I was able to work deeper water as they fall faster than a senko. I will never not have one tied on at this point.
  18. The boat turned out AWESOME!!!!!!! The before and after pics are really cool. www.wrapmyride.com has some amazing work. you can take a look at their other jobs a their website. Great Job. that boat will turn heads on the water for sure...... 8-)
  19. Very Nicely done!!! Showing footage of hooking into one at the end was a nice touch as well. If you're gonna be a movie star you'll have to hit the tanning bed though.. Great Job and very informative for a newcomer wanting spinnerbait tips.
  20. Question: Lets say you put on a soft plastic, throw it a few times during an outing but don't get bit. You pack up and go home for the day. Do you A. leave on that lure the next trip B. Automatically toss it and rig a fresh one the next time on the water I personally feel like I have to put on a fresh bait every time. Like that lure is now tainted and has bad JU JU.
  21. For those of you who don't like Mike and think he gets too excited about catching a fish you are telling me that you DON'T get Buck fever every time one with horns walks your way????????? Same thing, different species. I love the guy, hes good for the sport... People connect with him
