  1. I also have an 03 Silverado z71 package. I will NEVER not have a truck, period. the only issues I have had were having all o2 sensors fail around 70k. Truck ran like S*^% when that happened. But, mechanically have never had an issue. I bought mine with 44K and now have 130K. I will drive her till she drops.
  2. Great posts everyone. It amazes me when I am on this site the amount of knowledge that is passed around here. Many people will pay hundreds of dollars to get this information out of books, magazines, etc. I hope we all realize what an invaluable resource we have here. I know I have increased my fishing/boating knowledge tremendously by paying attention while logged onto this site. And, Just as in fishing paying attention is sometimes the key to taking home a check. thanks everyone.
  3. At least you are catching fish..........
  4. Is there even a type of synthetic bunk on the market? :-?
  5. I think it has "Spinners" LMAO !!!!!!
  6. I Noticed that I busted two brackets off of my trailer bunks. I was going to replace the brackets but figured it may be time to replace the bunks on both as well. My question is what type of wood is usually used? Marine grade or just treated? I saw that BPS has pre carpeted bunks available but they are too small for my needs. Any links or advise would be great. Thanks in advance
  7. If its your Trolling motor vibration thats causing the noise you may want ot try this: From Bluewater LED IN STOCK!! "MVD" stands for Motor Vibration Dampener! This revolutionary product was designed to reduce the vibration which in turn causes noise in the water as you use your trolling motor. Note: Package comes with one dampener. Vibration is measured with an Accelerometer. Without the MVD your average Trolling motor puts out 262Hz/G's of sounds, but with the MVD it is reduced/dampened to 228Hz/G's. That makes a huge difference when you are trying to sneak up on them! For an even quieter motor put multiple MVD's on it!
  8. Great fish, man!!!
  9. Correct! They used to have a jig very similar by Stanley. The line is tied to a small O ring that fits around the hook. I never really understood the benifit to this but I used them fairly frequently and never had issue with them.
  10. My 96 Stratos 278 has three seats across, basically bench style. My wife fishes for a bit, lays out for longer, etc. I must say, I have slept many a very comfy nap on those seats. Even once or twice when I ticked, said wife, off and had to cover up for the night. hee hee :
  11. For these LED packages that are available, are they wired directly to the cranking battery or are you using a seperate battery like a mower or motorcycle etc.? I am looking into the trailer package from Bluewater. They look pretty cool
  12. Personally, Not a big fan of them. It all depends on what you are looking for. Typically, if you will be fishing more than cruising I would advise against purchasing. FNS have much smaller casting decks as well as limited space for storage etc. They are not really built to handle rough water very well either IMO. If its pleasure you are looking for you are correct, there are some good deals out there.
  13. Leftover Ribs Meatloaf sandwiches MMMMMMMM Sushi ( it wasn't cooked in the first place so its just like new)
  14. LMAO!!! I just spit beer on myself...... THAT WAS FUNNNNNNY wait..... you mean you can't put braid on a 202 zebco??????

    GYB Fat Ika

Yep, the palm tree is exactly the same bait. Except for the amount of salt added. It will have a bit of a different fall rate vs the IKA. But pretty close.
  16. IMO unless you are fighting for position in MANY tournament situations you would be better off with a larger prop. You probably won't gain that much from a smaller prop and may save your motor in the process. I have a 96 Stratos with a 150 and my prop is a four blade 14 1/4 X 25. I run at 5500 RPMs and feel very safe with its performance. I have used my backup prop that is a 3 blade 13/12 X 24 and have much less control, less rpms, and some ventilation. GOOD LUCK
  17. Great tip Thanks
  18. I second the Olivas series v or g. Actually, the NUBs arent bad for a quick smoke. I have to say my favorites are still the Fuente Hemingways and the Padron Anniversary series. MMMMM You guys are making me want to grab a glass of bourbon and light up.
  19. A wise man once wrote "Love is like a roadrunner cartoon, you never fall till you look down." You should pull a "Grumpy Old Men" move on your ex. If she hated your fishing so much let her have a dink in her car under the seat. After a few days she'll notice
  20. I second that remark. I wish I had the time/patience and know how. You sir, are a much more talented man than I. My hats off. That boat looks great
  21. Yes the deals are in the stores. At least here in Detroit. I walk through BPS every day so I probably know where things are more so than some of the staff. I saw that sale Tuesday and thought about posting it on the site. You beat me to it LOL
  22. From the Star Tron Website: To assist boaters, Star Brite has introduced Star Tron, a revolutionary fuel additive based on enzyme technology that can prevent these water-related fuel problems. water can wind up in your gas or diesel fuel as a result of condensation in the tank. Because water is heavier than fuel, it sinks to the bottom of the tank and forms a distinct water layer. The fuel pick-up tube is located at the bottom of the tank so, once this happens, water is supplied to your fuel pump. Obviously the engine can not burn water; soon it starts to sputter and eventually stops running. Additionally, water is corrosive so it deteriorates tank walls and metals in the fuel delivery system. The enzymes in Startron prevent the water molecules that are in fuel from combining and forming a distinct water layer. Water is reduced to sub-micron size particles that cannot cause corrosion and are safely burned during normal combustion. The enzyme package in Star Tron disperses water derived from normal condensation into microscopic clusters, and allows the water to pass through the fuel system and engine harmlessly, preventing the buildup on the tank bottom that can contribute to poor performance, fuel gelling and corrosion. This de-watering effect prevents potential phase separation. If large amounts of water are already present it will be de-emulsified and drop out of the body of the fuel, improving overall fuel performance. Over a period of time, with fresh gas loads treated with Star Tron, even large accumulations of water will be totally eliminated. Star Tron can also counter the effects of lost octane, greatly improving the combustion performance of E-10 fuel that has had water contamination. Star Tron can also prevent filter plugging from old gum and varnish. The enzymes help break down the dislodged sludge and other deposits into sub-micron-sized particles that usually pass through the fuel filter and are burned away as part of the combustion process. Tank deposits that would cause gelling are solubilized so that fuel flows uninterrupted through the filters. Star Brite Star tron is available in 8 fl. oz, 16 fl. oz, 32 fl. oz. Seems to be very similar to Sta-Bil marine IMO
  23. How bad did the boat smell????? Man, those things stink. They don't call them "MUSK Y" for nothing
  24. LMAO I saw this infomercial and almost choked when the girl lifted up her skirt and sprayed. I want to but some just to have it. It is almost up there with ANTI MONKEY BUTT powder ;D ;D ;D ;D
  25. I have searched older topics regarding Flukes but didn't come across anything regarding hooks. My question is: What size hooks are you all using for fishing Flukes? I am using EWG Gammies in 3 or 4 size. My problem is that this causes an extremely slow sink rate. I want to get it down a bit deeper, quicker. Are you all using any other types of weights etc or heavier hooks to quicken the fall? Thanks for all your comments and suggestions as always.
