  1. I will be up there on the 23-24th. We always fish from 9mile to metro point. Goby tubes, flukes, jerkbaits, and dropshots always produce. Also, if you get hungry, head in by nine mile to Kens Marina. Best burgers on the lake. A buddy of mine was out last week and said the fish were shallow in 5-9FOW and they were all fat. He boated 60 fish ranging from 2-4lbs on tubes, rattletraps, and jerkbaits
  2. 90% of my new hires are determined in the first 5 minutes.
  3. Ahh, one of my favorite topics other than fishing. Goto drink: Blantons (oldest distillery in Ky, also makers of Buffalo trace) hints of vanilla and caramel Henry MCKenna: only bourbon whos barrels are bonded by the US Government. very smooth, not too oakey Pappy Van Winkle 20: one of the best bourbons I have ever tried. NOT CHEAP but very good After 20 years in the bar business I have had almost all of them but these are my favorites
  4. Headin up May 23-24. Can't wait to idle out of the 9mile marina!!! Great Pics!!!!!
  5. I may take you up on that.... I can put together a BAD ARS care package from the states to ease your troubles
  6. My son has a pair of Oakley radars for baseball. They are very durable, scratch resistant, and have a good warranty. They are also EXPENSIVE at $189+ Is your discount a military/law enforcement discount? if so, I would jump at them. Their polarization/lense quality is not up to a Maui Jim but a very good product in my opinion.
  7. Glenn Are the BR decals still available?
  8. Fish from a boat...... Powder sulfur works tremedously but makes your socks green. 100%deet is great but putting poison directly on me is not something I REALLLY like to do.
  9. Gotta say I don't miss losing my cranks and jerkbaits to the ol toothy ones. All Slimy and man do musky stink!!!!!!!
  10. So Jealous!! I have been reading for 3 years about the sacred "Roadtrips" Hopefully, I will get to one soon. Great Post!!
  11. I eat French Fries but I am not French...........
  12. Bts is a protectant. Here is a link to the website: http://bowtosternprotectant.com/ Many of the forum members, including myself, use it exclusively on their rigs.
  13. If you do a quick search of teh forums you will see multiple discussions of the above topic. Here is an example of what you can find http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/94632-seafoam-questions-answered/page__p__1048753__hl__seafoam__fromsearch__1#entry1048753 Good Luck
  14. I like Justice, but I would have to make his middle name either "served" or "ofthepiece"
  15. Great suggestions everyone Here is my .02. Get a 32oz bottle of BTS for that great looking boat. You will NOT be disappointed and it will keep it looking new for a long time. BTW if you don't mind my asking, what did you pay for that rig?
  16. on a positive note: Maybe the guy upstairs WAS watching out for you and made you avoid being seriously injured. Cars can be replaced, your family cannot replace you...... glad your ok
  17. Either way, I would be calling the dealer and raising holy heck. If those had fallen into the fan or the belts you could have had a serious issue or worse. Lack of attention to detail is no excuse at the dealership. Someone should pay.
  18. Thanks everyone I believe I will go with a 45" shaft. I don't fish many tourneys anymore and if the weather gets too rough I will be using the big motor to head to the ramp. Not a big fan of fishing in a storm anymore.
  19. Fishing on Lake St. Clair is exactly why I was thinking of the longer model. Although I have been lucky)smart) to not be in rough water out there, even after moderate boat traffic out there with larger vessels I have had the prop lift out of the water a few times.
  20. Knew that would get ya Question: I am looking at buying a new TM. Is there a standard for determining how long of a shaft to purchase? My boat is a 96 Stratos. Currently, it has an old Johnson TM with what appears to be a 42 in shaft. Would a 45in be too long? Is there a guideline to go by?
  21. Kent Could you post a photo of your setup? That sounds quite interesting
  22. Hard Work beats Talent when Talent doesn't work hard..........
  23. Head to the bay. All the smallie and walleye fishing you could hope for less than an hour away..... You also have Secord lake not too far off.
  24. I always refer to this video of Mike: Never give up
