  1. I respect your opinion. However, if you have never had rabbit prepared you are truly missing out. The meat is very sweet and delicate. It cannot really be compared to chicken as it is more flavorful and tender. Many high end bistros carry a form of rabbit with some type of demi glaze. Often times is will be a rasberry or blackberry. I often prepare it with a cranberry chutney and a wild mushroom risoto. There is a very famous restaurant in Chicago that serves a Rattlesnake/Rabbit appetizer that truly melts in your mouth. You would never know what you were eating if you were not told. Dont be a green eggs and ham....
  2. Ok, I realize I am a bit off in the head. That being said, is it wrong to serve fried Rabbit on Easter Sunday???? I happen to really enjoy it and my 11 yr old thinks it is hilarious and he loves it. My wife thinks I am the ant-christ for doing so. It has now been a three year tradition and as you can imagine, all of the relatives think it is disgusting as well. But, that is what Mother-in-laws are supposed to think
  3. Triton where are you moving to in Mi.??
  4. Going Fishing???????? Glenn Triton, I noticed that also. You beat me to the punch
  5. Since Stratos and Champion merged their new line of boats are Fantastic looking IMO. I looked at one during the travel boat show over the winter and it looked like a Champion and a Stratos 201 had a baby, an expensive baby. The lines looked great, it had ample storage, and a huge casting deck. The gauge cluster was firm and thick fiberglass, not like the Z-9s. It had a Line X coated trailer which I thought was genious. If I had 64K I would buy one... I have a stratos and love it. Good Luck
  6. Sam Seafoam in the oil? That one I have not heard of. If you treat the gas and have a two stroke doesn't the additive mix at some point anyway?
  7. Crazy wretched.......
  8. PICS?????????????
  9. Way2Slow I appreciate your opinion as you are entitled to it. And, I would like to thank you for your posts since I have been a member because you have saved me hours and hours as well as probaly hundreds of dollars in costly repair bills from your posts and insight. It is people like you, Catt, Jack (RIP), Glenn and the other long timers who "make" this site what it is. I would hate to see any of the core members leave for any reason but I DO respect your opinions. You being on the forum is like Crash Davis (Kevin Kostener) in Bull Durham. Your great at hitting home runs and mentoring the young and impressionable fisherman here on the forum. Thanks
  10. What if you had a crank come packaged inside another crank???? THAT would be fantastic!!!!
  11. I guess I am not the norm, as it seems to me that there are more newcomers on the site than older regulars. However, as mentioned, the switch came just about ice out time for much of the country and many people are on the water. Every year I have been on the site, which aren't many yet, the site gets punded all winter and the first sign of sun and clear water it is like the site shut down. give it time folks.. Any new marketing tool has to be in place at least 8-12 weeks before real knowledge is gained as far as effectiveness is concerned. The new format does take a bit to get used to but as the site moves forward this platform will allow infinite numbers of benefits to every member of the site. Most people fear and loathe change though. If you always do what you've always done, you will never do what you never could
  12. Seafoam is always used in my engine year round. I treat the tank with every fill up. I have not tried StarTron. Actually, I have never seen it? Do you purchase it at a specialty autoparts store or is it carried in the big box locations? Hopefully, I will be able to take the boat out this Wed., barring the rain that is forecast, and see if the new plugs have fixed the issue.
  13. They are magic when sauteed in a cast iron skillet with a little butter and garlic and placed over the top of a nice bone in ribeye......
  14. How long and wide is the boat? One that I would NOT recommend is the BPS trailerlite. I purchased one and had to trailer my boat from Michigan to Cincinnati as soon as I put on the cover every plastic buckle snapped in two. EVERY ONE. I had to cut and tie a knot to hold the cover down and promptly returned it to BPS upon arrival in Ohio.
  15. Wayne Seafoam goes into every engine I own, all year. I would buy it by the 50gal drum barrel if I could. you can almost immediately tell the difference in an engine after running a tank of seafoam treated gas through.
  16. Preparation H is often recommended by tattoo artists as a treatment to aid healing of a new tattoo. The active ingredient in Preparation H shrinks capillaries and reduces blood flow to the freshly tattooed area. This allows for the inked site to heal faster, as reduced blood flow calls for less touching and rubbing, and therefore less interference with the ink setting. Apply a thin layer of Preparation H over the tattooed area of skin, no more than twice a day, and for no more than 2-3 days Read more: Uses for Preparation H | eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/how_4690565_uses-preparation-h.html#ixzz1JaknvWAw And this too......
  17. I can't imagine that the gas, although treated with seafoam, sitting all winter didn't help the issue either. I can't wait to take it out this weekend and see if the plugs corrected the problem. BTW, since the switch to the new format I haven't seen a post anywhere from Catt or Way2Slow?? too busy fishing i guess.
  18. That would make sense. Most of the lakes I fish are idle only or are small enough that I don't need to plane out. Hopefully, this weekend I will take her out and see if the new plugs have corrected the issue
  19. In my previous post about my engine dying (lost my MoJo )I took the boat home and decided to check and change the plugs. All six plugs were black and fouled. Can this be a direct cause or sign of carb issues? The boat ran great all last summer and I never had a loss of power or sign of issue. Again, its a 96 Johnson 150. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
  20. Jeez Rhino I hadn't even noticed until you mentioned it. Now I am going to have a complex.. "did I get a positive, or a negative?" I might actually need therapy after this to correct my lack of self esteem. In Fact, I am going to have my mom file a lawsuit against the keyboard company for causing me pain and anguish over what to type all while not eating a peanut butter sandwich and drinking cold coffee from McDs. Decaf of course because adding too much sugar may make me obese.......
  21. GO REDWINGS!!!!!!!!! Their issue is going to be spotty goaltending. They are just going to have to outscore their opposition. Can't stand Jimmy Howard but can watch Datsuk and Lidstrom all day.
  22. The skipper taking over for Cpt.Phil seems like a D&*#... And jr. seemed like he was high as a kite when he got back on the boat. Just my Opinion
  23. GMan is correct. Power loading is prohibited in almost every Mi public waterway. I don't really understand how you need to powerload to get the boat on a trailer?? IF your trailer is backed in correctly just idling onto the trailer should seat it enough that all you need is a few cranks of the winch and out you go.... Maybe my boat is just different than others???
  24. The only thing better than KVD line and lure is BTS for the boat.......
  25. Freezing them???? Is that like a Hardboiled Cadburry Egg????
