  1. I have that exact TM. It came with the boat when I bought it. I keep telling myself I will replace it when it dies. The d**n thing is like the terminator, I can't break it. It is a 54lb thrust Johnson. All I do is replace the prop blade every so often. You may have a bad switch. Mine screws out and can be replaced. The website listed above has all of the OMC parts for these motors. Really, there isn't muuch to them in contrast to the newer TMs. I just bent the heck out of my shaft ( hehee I made a funny ) so I may finally be in the market for a new one.
  2. They are listed on Harbor Freight for $300 with a 20% discount right now. www.harborfreight.com
  3. Talk about kicking the beehive..... LMAO One of the things I love about this site is exactly what just transpired. Its like a group of buffalo surrounding a wounded member of the herd. An "outsider" makes a remark that is negative and the "family" defends to the death I truly love you guys........ This site rocks.......
  4. That is a BAD ARS rig!!!! Crankenstein, I just moved from the Kearsley/Davison area, where are you located? I may have seen you on the lakes around your there.
  5. Can you imagine if he was fishing with Ultra light tackle????? HOLY *^(&^*( I have a snag!!!!!!!!!
  6. Even from the warmer confines of Cincinnati i was watching the weather outlook opening morning and wondering if you made the run out there. At least you didn't get skunked. During calmer days during late spring and summer that spot can be dynamite for big brown footballs. As you saw, it can eat up a boat if you are not careful Glad you made it back safe
  7. I AM NOT AN ANIMAL, I am a HUMAN BEING........
  8. I call it something to mix with my Bourbon........ Michigan was Pop Kentucky is Soda or "Hey Y'all want some dat fizzy drink"
  9. LOL goes to show you how long its been since I looked at new boat. A day late and a dollar short
  10. beautiful fish Chris!!!! BTW you are looking great. Congratulations on the healthier, fitter, you.
  11. Learn something new every day. One thing I did notice on the Z-8 was that the console material seemed very thin and "cheap" IMO. It looked like it would be easily breakable or crackable. For the money it would seem that the housing would have been thicker and more durable. They don't seem to be having trouble getting pros to use their boats so it can't be too flimsy. The clasps to hold the second console in place looked very sturdy and didn't appear to even allow any gapping.
  12. From Caseville try the backside of the big island and between the big island and the one just to the south. Again, be careful but those spots have produced well for me in the past. Let us know how the trip goes
  13. Ok guys don't get too excited, although I did. I had always wondered about DC boats. They give up a bit of room but are great for riders so they don't get blasted by wind. Then I was walking through BPS and I saw, what I thought, was an ingenious design. A removable DC boat. I believe it was on the Z-8. The passenger console can be removed by about 5 snap clips that hold it in place. I, personally, am not a fan of Nitros but I think this is a remarkable idea. Do any other boat manufacturers have this?
  14. You can also send a certified letter to the seller. Once he recieves it you have documentation that he knowingly avoided you. You can take that to the DMV as proof. You could also apply for a lost title at the DMV.
  15. Charity can hold some HUGE pigs. There are a few precautions you should take though 1. Check the weather. A run the the Charity Isles is not a quick jaunt, depending on where you take off from. If you are in a bass boat, have PFDs and kill switch attached. It is not uncommon to hit 4-5 footers as the Bay in the spring can be nasty and quick 2. Keep an eye on depth and wind all times. there are some boulders the size of dump trucks that loom just beneath the surface, especially in between the islands. 3. Check the weather. See number 1. 4. Drop shots and cranks have always produced for me around Charity. I have boated some over 6 out there as well as had the scariest run of my life during a tournament. I was fishing the backside of the isles knowing there was a storm in the area. Upon leaving I came around the isle and thought there were sailboats everywhere, wrong, 5 footers. By the time I missed the way in by 45 minutes I was sitting in water most of the ride back and it took me 2 hours to get to Bay City. The run only took about 45 minutes going out. Be Careful and good luck.
  16. Agreed, good quality is gonna be tough in that price range. I think if you are truly looking for a good quality product you may have to save up until you are in the 100.00 range. Can't go wrong with Redwing, Muck, or Irish Setters
  17. Being from Michigan there are SOO many lakes that are 1000 acres or less your 93 nitro is perfect. You cannot swing a dead cat without hitting a lake in Mi. If you are talking about lakes like Erie, Michigan and St.Clair you just have to pick your days and be very conscious of weather conditions. I have fished St. Clair, Erie and the Bay in my 18 ft Stratos with no issues. However, I always new what the weather was doing before I left the dock. Fortunately, if you start saving money now you might be able to afford a "Newer" rig sometime around 21 As Rick Clunn said "The boat doesn't make the fisherman" good luck
  18. Unfortunately gonna miss this year as I moved to Cincinnati, OH. However, the last four years we had great days despite the weather. We have averaged about 45 fish ranging between 2-4lbs over the last few years. Drifting the mile roads from 16 down to 9mile Rattletraps and jerkbaits were the best
  19. Jet skiers and PWCs Seeing someone using a spinning reel upside down. (Get A SNOOPY rod for christ sakes)
  20. That was funny right there.....

    1. People who say " I seen it the other day" NO, you "saw" it the other day... 2. Weekend afternoons at the ramp. (Learn how to do it before the busiest days of the week you idiots!!!) 3. People who order steak anything past medium. 4. Baggy pants that are past your crack (unless you are a beautiful women) 5. People who don't know how to Tip
  22. From the Pics it appears that the boat has some fairly bad oxidation. It could be dust or dirt. For a 94 that price is a bit steep IMO I have a 96 Stratos that I paid $5000 for 3 years ago and it had new tires, two SS props, a cover, all lowrance electronics, 4 idfferent seats, new PFDs, and three new batteries, not to mention it had been garage kept and the gelcoat looked, and still does, like new
  23. LMAO! My grandfather used to raise rabbits and I used to feed them celery when I was a kid. I didn't know why he raised them, just that they were never around for too long. Then, one evening we were eating dinner and I had eaten what I thought was two helpings of chicken, WRONG. There was Fluffy, all crisp and juicy sitting with gravy and mashed taters. Rabbit Stew with wild mushrooms, corn, celery and leeks is also very tasty. The rabbit compliments the wild mushrooms very well. And, if you can get wild picked Morels, forget about it....... One of the things I will surely miss about leaving Michigan is the wild Morel season that is about to start in a few weeks.
  24. These are wild cottontails. Pen raised rabbits are much better tasting as they are sweeter and juicier. When I have used them in the restaurants they were all pen raised as well. Although, wild rabbits work better for frying.
  25. Caccitore sounds awesome. After hunting rabbit, a hot breakfast of fried rabbit and dumplings is hard to beat. Easter or not, I am getting hungry for some bunny.
