  1. You can tell the heat of the summer is here. :_
  2. Gas Mileage be damned!!!!! Go big or go home. That truck looks fantastic!!!
  3. Nice Smallies!!!! That last one is a hog
  4. No not yet. I actually went on a Little Miami River trip instead. Excellent river to wade or take a kayak/canoe. Fishing for SMB is fantastic. landed a few pushing 3.5 lbs. For a small river, that is a good quality fish. I go on Vacation starting July 30. Will probably be headed that way then. I will be in the silver and Black/Red Stratos
  5. Cavitron Buzzbait......... Only one in my box And who hasnt spilled megastrike on their boat carpet before...... Its like a right of passage. Like getting jumped into a gang, like having to stick your tongue on a cold flagpole. I quote the immortal Flick from Christmas Story "Cmon, Don't leave me!!! Stuck, STTTTUUCKK "
  6. I am not sure if it is technically a grub but you can't mention SMB and not bring up a Fat Ika.. Technically, I guess its a grub family member
  7. What lake are you fishing? I would take the advice of everyone posting and add that you should try to drop shot an "Aarons Magic" roboworm on a 1/8 to 1/4 ounce weight. This tactic works Extremely well on N Michigan smallies at some of the most gin clear lakes I have ever seen. Good Luck
  8. I have a 96 Johnson 150 on the back of my 18ft Stratos. I filled up the tank once (35gal) ran five miles at WOT on the GPS. Filled the tank back up and did the math which almost brought a tear to my eye, a wopping 2.9mpg. Thankfully, most of the lakes I fish are 2000 acres or less. If you are looking to save gas money with a boat motor, get an extra paddle
  9. Kelly I lived in Mi. for 16 years, where is Fennville?
  10. BAIT MONKEY NO LIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Gophers invasive????????? Were they brought in by???????? Golfers??
  12. If the engine checks out, and money portion checked out, I would jump. That upholstrey looks great and that bench seat will be the best nap you ever take on the water. I would also check the tires and bearings if you buy it. A boat sitting that long may have some dry rot and need new tires. Good Luck
  13. Yep, its called BTS..... Works wonders and is the only thing I use on my boat. Where abouts in Michigan are you located?
  14. Since moving to Cincinnati I am looking to head up to fish Erie for some Bronzies. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am not looking for waypoints or honey holes. I am more interested in the safest route, best place to launch, and a general direction on where to find fish. I was thinking of launching around Sandusky? We will be fishing out of my 18ft Stratos bass boat. I respect the big water so safety is my main concern. I'm not versed in any Erie fishing so any help is great. Is the fishing in the bay decent? What about around Put-in-Bay islands? thanks for the feedback guys
  15. WOW!!!!!!!! I wonder if his nickname was "tiny"
  16. Just order it from www.stratoswear.com
  17. Thanks guys. It didn't even dawn on me that I couldn't idle around until days after. I didn't intentionally break the law and if I return to the lake I would not do it again. Thats what I get for not reading teh lake rules before launching... Guess it will be a slow go with the TM on this lake from now on
  18. No way in hell....... not even a pet. Snakes give me the heeby jeebies
  19. I will be launching by the dam. It is the closest place for me en route. I have read that smallies can be found near the rip rap by the dam but I have not even seen any recent local reports for bass on any of the guide service sites or marina boards. Should be interesting
  20. First, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE Second, how much money are you looking to spend? How much space do you have in garage etc.? How many people will be fishing with you normally? How big are the lakes you intend to fish?
  21. Planning on a trip to fish Brookville in a few weeks. Its only about an hour drive from my house and I have been told the smallmouth fishing can be very good. I have fished the lake once last fall with no success. Any help would be greatly appreciated. No, I am not looking for waypoints, just a general area or direction on the lake. Thanks guys
  22. I actually prefer a left hand reel on my flippin rod. That way I can hold the rod in my right hand and being right handed, I feel like a have better feel and control.
  23. I wonder if he intended to catch a wall"EYE" LMAO>>>>>>>>>>>>
  24. Dipped a can of Kodiak a day for 15 years. Quitting sucked but I fell asleep with a giant pinch, woke up, hung over and puking my guts out. Never dipped again. We used to mix RedMan and Big League Chew and call it a "Goo" when playing baseball at UC. That was good even if it sounds gross...
