  1. It was actually a Lemon. I wish there were more bull sharks back there, they pull alot more! Thanks for the kind words!
  2. Love these
  3. Pretty slow out there today. Fished from 7-10 got 3 fish biggest one at about 7.5lbs!
  4. The snook bite has been on fire lately
  5. lmao no problem man. its short for the loxahatchee reserve
  6. Has anyone been to south lox lately ? Thinking about hitting it the morning!
  7. Yes Ive done it many times. There plenty of spots to pullover and park.
  8. If your gonna be in Naples I would highly suggest fishing the canal along side of the Tamiami Trail. About 30 miles from Naples is highway 29 which intersects with Tamiami Trail. Ive persnally caught lots of snook bass redfish and tarpon. Fish the bridges with small plugs. This a great time of year with the rain.
  9. I personally do not enjoy fishing inside parks, they receive to much pressure IMO. The canal the runs along Flamingo rd just outside CB Smith has alot of fish. That canal is a feed off canal of the Griffin road canal which is just north, which means snook, tarpon, peacocks, and bass lurk in those waters. Google Maps is a great fishing tool, look in the area around CB Smith and you will see what I'm talking about.
  10. havent fished that chain in a while. Used to go out there all the time with bait and catch tons of peacocks.... Have the peacocks been on beds or are they in schools crusin around?
  11. anyone been out within the past week? hows the bite been
  12. I would suggest dragging a big worm along the bottom, bouncing a jig, or a deep diving crank or lipless crank. Takes time to get that bite down deep. Look for structure on bottom with your depth finder and make long casts.
  13. It was a fun day, lots of weed barriers to get over but we went way up north an had around 20lbs. Cool system but tough to fish. Didn't see any peacocks
  14. Thinking of heading out of the ramp off 27 near the sawgrass recreation park, think its the 26 mile bend. Any fished out there recently or have any knowledge, never been out there, or if anyone has a suggestion for me that'd be awesome, ive been hearing the waters low. I will share some information on peacocks or anything i can help with. Ill be going tmmrw morning
  15. that canal has lots of big peacocks, snook, and tarpon. also bass and snakeheads. throw spinner baits or jerk baits along the edge an you should have fun
  16. When i live bait for snook i usually use my calcutta 400 on a stout falcon rod with 50lb braid and a 50lb flouro leader. We do alot of spillway fishing and near bridges, so its necessary for heavier tackle, and we are not targeting slot fish, dont care about eating a slot. Ive also fished plenty of artificials on light tackle from small 1000 size reels up to 5000 size, catching them on the flats in everglades national park to fresh water lakes. I enjoy all of it. I enjoy fishing live bait for peacocks. Its not like were going to the tackle shop and picking up shiners, going out to find bait spots is not simple especially when looking for a specific bait. The big fish come out to play when there favorite bait fish is around.
  17. The peacock bite has been incredible lately. Im disappointed with this weather, but this cold front is not comparable to the freeze in 2010 and we shouldnt have any dead fish. Heres some fish from east and west boca. enjoy [/url[/url[/url[/url
  18. i enjoy artificial as well, but there is something about a 40" plus snook thumping a live mullet, pilchard etc, as well as seeing a peacock come at a fresh tilapia at 100mph!!
  19. its actually a spotted tilapia, i use the smaller ones and free line them for peacock bass. i would highly suggest trying this!!
  20. well i was with two other people, we carry a big bucket with an aerator cause we do alot of live bait fishing for peacocks an yes i have a 15 gallon live well setup in my truck an all my spots are very close to the truck so i hope that answers everything you just said,
  21. this pond in boca? i may know it
  22. they should be out there again, all those canals connect to holiday.
