  1. If you've got the pompadour and poppers I would recommend at least a couple Sammys or spooks if you wanna be able to cover more possible scenarios. The ploppers and pompadours I would use on windy, choppy days when you need a lot of noise to get their attention. the Walking stick baits will make a little more subtle presentation as to not spook them on calm mornings. So yes to me they're necessary. You can however opt for other subtle top waters like a walking frog or quieter crank style wake baits.
  2. A lot has already been said about this but it just so happens that I used both of those kayaks from the original post this afternoon. My brother had bought the sit in one a while ago but had regretted not getting the SOT. The other day he got one so now has both. I have to say to go with the SOT. I liked fishing from it way better and found it more comfortable after sitting in the sit in all day. The other big benefit is way more space and versatility for mounting fish finders and other accessories. It was a calm day but didn't notice any difference in getting wet.
  3. Has power pro made changes/improvements in recent years? I haven't been bassin since like 2012 and then I remember everyone steering clear of it.
  4. What lakes are you fishing?
  5. yeah the cold is killing me. its the reason i havent put my boat in the water yet. I dont wanna commit to being out for a while in weather like this.
  6. I haven't gotten my boat in the water yet but I've done some shore fishing in local lakes without much luck. I'm planning on putting the boat in the water sometime this week and was wondering; has anyone had any luck? If so where?
  7. I live in bergen county and my recommendation to you is to get on 208 north or 287 south and head into west milford/wanaque/ringwood. These 3 towns are covered in water.
  8. ive been real lazy about getting out this spring but i just broke the tension by grabbin a solid 2.5 at a pond near my house this evening. tomorrow im hittin the newark watersheds for some smallies
  9. I'm gunna grab a permit for the newark watershed lakes this week. Anyone have any reccomendations for fishing them?
  10. Nice fish. I need to make some time this weekend to really get out. I've been working to much.
  11. cjl - that pond isnt any good. If I were you I would take the hike up to the upper lake and give that a try.
  12. Foodang - Campgaw pond in mahwah green turtle pond in west milford Ramapo lake in Oakland - this one requires some hiking All of these have good shore access and good fishing pm me if u want some more details or directions.
  13. Foodang - I would suggest that you get out of the ghetto and head 20 minutes north and fish some lakes/ponds with fish in them.
  14. 1 Cant say on family site 2 Phish Concerts 3 I cant think of a third
  15. For all you guys that said blue moon, you need to try Long Trail's Belgian White. It's unbelievable and totally blows BM out of the water. By the way your don't need an orange so you can drink it and maintain your masculinity.
