  1. my favorite jig trailer. shape, action, scent is awesome. Only thing, its so dang fragile. Always losing claws.
  2. this guy deserves it, but will you be penalized if your line does happen to break off (weight and everything) and is swallowed by the fish? if they do find it?
  3. i think i want to now.
  4. My second favorite trailer. Great action and great scent. Only problem is durability. I hate when I retrieve my bait and the pinchers are gone.
  5. I use a simple back pack. I just buy plano utility boxes and keep most of my baits in their bags. the back parks are easier to carry and not as bulky as tackle boxes and bags.
  6. I ignore action most of my success has come on just trying different lures. I normally fish muddy water. I just have faith in confidence in baits and they work. My most successful trailer has been the YUM Wooly bug. It has little action but catches me fish. I rely on the big skirt to attract the fish and the trailer is only there as a target to hit.
  7. Honestly I never do that. I only speed up my retrieves when I am either talking to someone or distracted by an outside presence. if someone outfishes me, I fish slower. i feel like I need to pick up all the fish they are missing.
  8. Mine is trademarked " I found him sirrrrr!" and "Here we go" and my personal favorite *hard hookset with grunting noise*
  9. for me a jig is my go to bait. before that it was a plastic worm. I have this mindset when fishing a jig. This mindset makes me believe that I'm going to catch a fish every cast. I love the feeling of moving the bait across cover. I feel every rock and stump. Part is knowing where to fish the jig. I have so much confidence in the jig, however I have never caught a fish on the first drop. Its all a mental thing. Sometimes you have to just sit there and force the bait to work. I can catch fish on anything except rage tail. I dunno why. Sometimes some baits dont work. Just because someone else uses it, doesn't mean you have to.
  10. Throw plastics 99.999999% of the time. I absolutely hate hard baits. They are clumsy and expensive to replace. I enjoy how for just about hardbait there is a plastic that performs equal if not better. The only exception for me is a jig. I always use a trailer, so i dunno if you can count it. Soft Plastics are the true king. Using a zara spook for the first time. However, soon got replaced by a yum money hound. Can go more places and has better action.
  11. youll probably notice that you work every lure almost the exact same way. either by reeling or lifting the rod. the action depends on the production of the bait.
  12. My first frog fish was a frightful experience. I literally had on an ultralight setup and 4 lb test throwing frogs into pads. Caught a few, but strikes scared the living daylights out of me and the fact that I had no idea what I was doing.
  13. I always thought seniors could fish without a license. Anyway, justice has been served. Maybe they'll do an episode of law and order.
  14. concentrated it is fine, i put it into the bottle for like 8 seconds. i can barely find a trace on the lure. maybe i really like garlic.
  15. I personally do not think JJ's Magic is strong enough. I would want it to be even stronger. I haven't fished with it yet, but i took a good 3 dips to get the correct strength of scent I wanted on my lure. Anyway, just wanted people to post some stories about using it.
