  1. My girlfriend loves fishing. We are going to lake erie for 2 days in may and we are doing some local tournaments together this summer. We did one together last year and she caught 2 lmb and i caught none!!! My buddies made fun of me but i know at the end of the day i am the winner. She also loves the baitmonkey and the boatmonkey!!! She picked my ranger with me and always watches wfn with me. She loves it when i pick up tackle and new gear. My tip for everyone is do what you gotta do to get her interested because once she is hooked its awesome.
  2. Talked with a local marina today and they said no problem. Its apparently super easy to do and very cheap also. I'm very happy. This will give me more livewell room. I'll post pics when its done.
  3. soft-berkley hollow belly swimbaits. awesome hard-true tungsten tru life 4"
  4. The best i have ever done is 1 fish over 4 pounds on a outing. 1, 2, 3 lbers are much more common. A 4 lber is a big deal for me!!! Next year i will be trying a few more lakes. Lake St-Francois is only a 20 minute drive for me and they have some of the best smallmouth fishing in canada. It was on that lake that the 30.35lb bag was caught last year. But on my home lake 1-2 4lbers us a awesome day.
  5. Hopefully i can get some of those beasts that Dwight and Jfranco got.

  8. 4/0 ewg gamagatsu or owner
  9. Shimano Cumara looks good with any reel...
  10. I use the 4/0 1/8oz ones. I like reeling them slowly and this works well. They also make them in a 6/0 , 8/0 and a 10/0. Next time i buy some im gonna try the 6/0. Try a little heavier, see how i like them.
  11. 8-) match hook to bait.... #6 Spit Shot/Drop Shot hook, 5-0 smallie. Awesome pic!!!!!!!!

  19. YOU ARE MY HERO!!!! Those fish are awesome. I hired a guide last week and i am going to lake erie on May 29th and May 30th. I hope i can catch a few like those. Congrats.
  20. I didn'nt want to hack anyones thread so here we go.... I generally buy plastics in the color i want. Therefore not needing to dye them. But i could use them for the scent so my questions would be: 1-Is the advantage of JJ"s the dying or the scent or both? 2-If i have a dark colored bait ( like a 297 senko ) and i used the chartreuse color dye will my bait actually change to chart oe does the dye only work on lighter colored pastics like white? 3-Will this stuff dye everything it touches? (boat, carpets, hands,) 4-What do i do with the baits i dye/scent after i'm done fishing. If they smell so bad people dont want them in their house what do i do with them? 5-Once a bait is dyed/scented and it has dried does it rub off. I pitch/flip alot and i gotta have these baits in my hand. I dont want to stink for ever 6- I'm currently using megastrike. If you are too are there any situations where jj's works better? Because megastrike is some good stuff, easy to handle, user friendly and without any of the crazy side effects ( bottle fizing, smell, leaving out of sun) of jj's magic Thanks for your answers...
  21. i order from TW quite a bit ad i have never had a problem with them. Their duty is not as bad as other sites. The reason is they use the postal service and not ups. UPS charged you minimum 30$ brokerage fees plus taxes plus duty. Its a real scam. The only downfall with the postal service is that they cant track your package if it gets lost. BPS on the other hand NAILS you with all kinds of fees coming over the border. I have recently gotten a p.o box for my company in champlain, NY and i go or i send one of my employees down there when i receive orders for my company. I usually fix my orders so that they come i at the same time as my work orders. Then it costs nothing to bring it in. The difference in price far outweighs the problems even if you have to pay duty.
  22. There are a couple decent stores around me and they have ok stuff. But ... their prices SUCK!!! The majority of canadian stores sell for alot more than in the USA. Even when our dollars in even or close to it the prices are generally 30%-50% more expensive. I have talked to the manager of the biggest store and he says its the suppliers that roast them so they have no choice. That has left me no choice but to buy everything from ***.com. I buy everything local and try to support my community but i refuse to pay 11.99 for a pack of senkos when i can get them off *** shipped to my house in 2 days for 5.97. Some thing are worse than that too!!!
  23. Hey bobby are you still selling the Yamamoto crawfish megastrike. I got a tube thats almost done and that stuff is awesome. i squeeze it into tubes before putting the head in.
  24. Im gonna Beef up my jig box for this summer. Its one of my goals to catch more fish on jigs. Is anyone using the terminator jigs. They seem to have quite a variety that look good.
