  1. Nevermind Ottawa..... Come to quebec.... You could fish the st-lawrence on the lac st-louis side and then go to lake st-francois. Lake st-francois has the canadian record for a tournament bag of bass. 30.35 was caught by charles simm and nigel touhey last year. This lake is becoming one of the best destinations for bass in canada and is the host of the Berkley B1 also known as The canadian bass open. That tournament was held last year on lake st-louis. Lake st-louis and lake st-francois are far better than the ottawa river.
  2. For 3.99 i will definetly try " after the catch " looks awesome and way easier than what i use now. And you get to have a pic with it too.

  5. I'll be using Terminator T1 this year. I get them more than 50% off.
  6. The government should just put up a 1$ to every asian carp killed. Have a few shops, fishing stores, marina's registered as legal check in stations that when you show them the dead fish they give you a receip and the gov sends you your money. They would have every bounty hunter catching them by the hundreds every day. You could probably eliminate them prety fast. You could do it all year round which would give people something to do when their fish of choice is out of season. Look bak in the history and when animals were a problem they give a small amount of mony and humans eradicate them. The wolves in canada is a good example. The asian carp will not get rid of themselves and poisoning them will probably hurt other native species. Fish the to extinction. Imagine the government gave out a million dollars for caught asian carp. That would be a hell of alot cheaper than doing it in any other way. A million dollars when you got biologists and game wardens dosnnt reallly go that far.
  7. Being from ontario you should come down and do it. Its awesome and the organizers are really cool guys.
  8. i'll be trying ish's phat frog this year
  9. I baught a couple pack but havent gotten to use them yet. I'm excited about this bait because I've had good luck with a lunker city salad spoon so i think this will be a killer. Similar bait and apearance just with ALOT more action to it. Awesome format for a bait. You can fish it a bunch of different ways and they catch alot of fish. The rage tail bait looks like it has a crazy action compared to the salad spoon and the salad spoon is already a good bait so i cant wait to use them. Its too early to speculate but i think that this could be one of those amazing baits that are a must have.
  10. All you north east guys should check this out. Its just over the border and it offers 25000 for first prize. Its going to be a awesome tournament.

  21. First and foremost as a person who loves fishing i find it a shame to see such a nice bass go to waste. but fishing is part of our heritage and it is what it is. As long as someone practices responsible fishing and NEVER exceeds his or her limit in my mind its ok. I have never eaten a bass but up in canada alot of people fish for walleye and perch and they generally take home enough to eat. I dont know why its politically correct for people to take home crappy, perch, walleye and many other fish but its not ok for bass.I dont take any fish home to eat and i never have but thats me and i respect other peoples view on the subject and agree that fishing and hunting to eat is part of our heritage and is a big part of the history of canada and the united states.
