  1. I think it runs much better w/ a 4/0 ewg. X2 4/0
  2. Tubes, rapala subwalk, Jitterbugs, berkley hollowbelly swimbaits, spinnerbait white/chart
  3. I love TW but so far this sale STINKS!!!
  4. Tru-Tungsten..... most people will disagree but the 4" is a fish catching machine
  5. red eye shad, rattle traps
  6. Tubes and senkos. Buy a couple different bullet weights and hooks and go fishing. Once you get catching pick up a couple spinnerbaits and some in line spinners. Once you are comfortable with those pick up a few crankbaits and topwater baits. Once youve got those covered you will meet the baimonkey and its over for you. Keep your baits simple. Hetes what i would suggest: tubes-strike king coffee tubes 3.5" brownish green senko- green pumpkin black flake 4" spinnerbaits- booyah 3/8 chartheuse/white willow willow in line spinner- mepps anglia or roostertail crankbait- rapala dt, shadrap topwater- zara super spook jr, black jointed jitterbug stay away from the baitmonkey for a while because you will just get confused. buy a bait, use it, get another bait.
  7. Trailer 100%. Try and buy a used one and spend the balance at TW or in the fishing flea market.
  8. Bps are fun to go to but apart from that............useless! I go there for fun not to buy. Ever since I've found *** I dont buy anything anywhere else. Bps are overpriced and their selection SUCKS. TW on the other hand ships to my front door, is cheaper, have a better selection and they order baits on request.
  9. Quite the looker for 25 bucks!!! Maybe i'm wrong... my favorite topwater is a jitterbug!!!
  10. FTO hands down
  11. Picking up some jigs for this summer. I have already baught some of these and liked them. Does anyone use these??? If so do you like them compared to other jigs??? They are the only ones i have ever used so i have no basis for comparison. If you dont like them what would you suggest for a newby jig user.
  12. Strike king 3X.... These are awesome. Their only downfall is rigging them. Use some superglue. These were not created with the baitmonkey's consent. They are indestructable!!!!!!
  13. A cumara with a core is the best looking combo on the market. I dont like the flashy stuff.
  14. I have tried both. I had 12lb hybrid on 2 reels last year and i liked it but did not love it so i will not be returning to it this year. The memory sucks. Invisx on the other hand is awesome. I will definetly use that again. Probably in a 10lb and a 6lb. And before i eat crap about saying hybrid has too much memory... Yes i used kvd l&l many times, i treated it, sprayed it and sprayed it and the line still had bad memory. I even trolled it and tied to a tree and stretched it.
  15. Go pickup some power pro 20lb in green. Thats all you need.
  16. Black Jointed Jitterbug
  17. The salad spoon is a awesome bait. Great action and very durable. I am going to be trying out the rage tail eelinator this year due to my success with the salad spoon. Green chart tail if you can get it it is awesome.
  18. Rapala XR-10. A bunch of colors, tough, durable, under 10$ and thet catch fish!!!
  19. Here's another vote for the parasite weight... Super easy to use and they work great. I can get 2-3 more fish out of a 5" senko with them because the worm dosnnt fly up the line. I have them in 1/8 and the weightless ones too. As for tubes i have used them a bit but the majority of time when i use tubes i use a tube jig head in the tube.
  20. Rapala DT series
  21. I tried the norman speed slips a few times but i'd rather just retie... They work fine and i think they are better than using a swivel but i think youre better just to retie.
