  2. Heres a couple pic of my winter purchases... There are more on the way
  3. x2 This is so true. A Baitsmith or Hudd coming up to the boat will make my passengers go "hey check out this trout!" The tail barely moves on those baits. Nobody mistakes a triple jointed hard bait or a paddletail for a trout. Granted, sometimes the fish want more action. I've never seen a spinnerbait fish... What??? Are you kidding me!!!! I got tons of spinnerbait fish swimming around. Little ones bigger ones. They are generally white/chartreuse.
  4. To answer truthfully...........NO... I love fishing. To me notIf i had to give a few after Bass Fishing 2- Fishing other species ( walleye, musky, sturgeon) 3-Duck hunting
  5. 2olb power pro with a 3-5ft seaguar invisx 10lb leader.
  6. SHIMANO, SHIMANO, SHIMANO...... You want a waranty that is amazing. Get a shimano. Broke 2 rods last summer had replacement that week!!!
  7. I use the manns and the dt fat in about 4-6 ft of water when the weeds are up to about 1 foot under the water. They smash them so hard.
  8. Looking for a new under 7.0 gear ration reel. If you have used these 3 reels can you give me your opinion. I'm prety set on the new core but I think the 7.0 might be a little fast for cranks and for spinnerbaits.
  9. Rapala subwalk 09. Very underated lure
  10. Berkley hollow bell swimbaits 5" in pearl are amazing!!! My best swimbait producer for sure.
  11. I would feel more comfortable if it were a fast. Especially if your gonna used it for t-rigs, spinnerbaits. It would be great for trebles.
  12. Strike King 3x finess worms... Coppertreuse!!!
  13. Citica or curado. Shop deals in the flea market and you will find a deal.
  14. Pike are the worst fish!!! I hate them!!! They are in cahoots with the baitmonkey!!! They eat my baits all summer long. There is not one day that i go out where we dont catch a few of them. They have become a problem on our lake because they are eating alot of walleye. I could rant on this subject for a long time telling you how i hate them and how many baits ive lost to them but thats for another thread!!!! To answer your question... They really like wally divers and koppers perch when trolled. They love all crankbaits, spinnerbaits, in line spinners , grubs and even swimbaits. Ive even caught them on a senko. They are not as picky as our little brown and green friends!!!
  15. The baitmonkey seems to have me convinced that i need to buy everything tackle warehouse sells!!!
  16. X2... the more i look at reels the more i realize that IPT is what you should look at.
  17. ??? The ipt stays the same the whole way... unless you are stating that the difference in line depth adds ipt after reeling but i hardly beleive that 20 yards or so of line will make a difference in ipt.
  18. I am looking at new reels this year and am getting all messed up with gear ratios and IPT. REEL Gear Ration IPT Curado E5 5.0 21 Curado E& 7.0 30 Citica E 6.3 27 Core 50 7.0 28 Core 100 6.2 26 After comparing them. It seems that gear ratios arent that important and that i should pay more attention to ipt.....right. Alot of talk on this site puts a 6. whatever gear ratio as the best all around gear ratio but the difference between the core 50 and the citica is 1 ipt. Will 1ipt actually make a difference. The reason i ask is because i am looking for new reels for spinnerbaits and crankbaits and find myself getting confused with gear ratios and IPT.
  19. Where can i find the ipt for shimano reels??? Nevermind i found it... Thanks anyway
  20. Where can i find the ipt for shimano reels???
  21. I know that a e5 is 5.0 and a e7 is a 7.0 i have one of each!!!!!!!! And i know that 7.0 is faster than 5.0!!! What i am wondering is if anyone is using a 7.0 reel for spinnerbaits or crankbaits???
  22. I want to pick up 2 core 50's. One for spinnerbaits and one for crankbaits/trebles. The thing that is making me hesitate is the 7.0 gear ratio for my crankbaits. Last year i used a E5 and i found it too slow. Is anyone using a 7.0 for spinnerbaits or trebles???
  23. Black Jointed Jitterbug.
