I fished Lake Erie with Simon Frost last year for 2 days and all I used was 6lb Tatsu on a drop shot. This line is amazing!!! I am waiting for a sale to happen this year and I will buy some 6 and 10 lb rolls. In the past I have used 10lb invisx as a leader with power pro and it is also very good.
I just got off the phone with Tackle Warehouse and they told
me that they were discontinuing Tru Tungsten because the
company was going bankrupt. That's really too bad because I
really liked their lineup of products.
What are you using for Tungsten?
Fished them all weekend in Lake Erie and I loved them. Was using a 1/0 drop shot hook. I loved them. Super tough and really really sharp. Caught about 150 fish and only 1 or 2 came unpinned, I was very impressed. I think they are worth the money.
I agree with you RW. I have caught 100 times more fish with a 5" senko than with any other bait. I have all the lures you mentioned and I feel that they are all awesome lures but the question was what lure imitates the real thing. If you want to match the real thing i suggested the best baits IMO but if you want to flat out catch the most fish I would say:
-4 or 5 " senko
-xrap 10 in silver
-Black jointed jitterbug
-Rapala dt-6
-white chartreuse 3/8 T1 spinnerbait.
The tru tungsten 4" is awesome. Alot of people dont like them but they catch alot of fish for me. I love them. I also have a spro bbz 4" but when i open that box i always reach for the TT
